Blockchain is a great technology. I think the blockchain should be applied to Internet records. Or will it be applied where?

Blockchain technology which uses decentralize can be applied in the medical field in combating fake drugs. Identifying fake drugs has been a major challenge over the years, and I believe with the blockchain technology ,authenticating of correct drugs can be linked to a drug purchase to confirm it validity before purchase.

Anything that needs a ledger/record and that can take an advantage from decentralized data processing. I will put 5 industries that largely benefit from blockchain: Retail, Financials, Healthcare, SaaS, Biotechnology

I think the blockchain can be applied to any industry that needs open and transparent information. In my opinion, the block chain technology is now being used in all walks of life.

Like with the internet, I think people will find new uses for blockchain that haven't been dreamt of yet.

Blockchain is like a Book ledger and all industry including our name can be save on blockchain. Blockchain is very transparent to all transactions and assets we have. that's why governments needs to study the blockchain

identity/personal credit rating
land registry
births deaths and marriage/passports
finance sharing between multiple entities (business partnerships/suppliers)
laws and criminal records
educational/medical records
product/manufacturing controls and automation

other benefits are that because blockchains self audit. it requires less human resources just to audit the data, less IT/security personnel to protect the data and this can also decrease costs in many area's such as fraud, staff theft, or corporate corruption

i have listed less than a dozen, but there can be thousands of uses of the technology

I DO NOT TRADE OR ACT AS ESCROW ON THIS FORUM EVER.

In any industry where a great number of stakeholders need to work togehter even though they if theu don't put trust in eachother.

Bockchain allow them to put trust in the system instead of the members.

European top banks ING and ABN Amro have now used blockchain for clearing transctions for Soja beans between the US and China. Published two days ago, find it on Google. But most news is in Dutch. You can use Translate.

1 of these banks is even government-owned.

It says it was a test. Transaction and confirming processes were 5 times faster than the normal process with paperwork. And less vulnerable to threats.

Still dont get it completely but read it yourself. The company they assisted for the export of Soja was Louis Dreyfus. A huge player.

I really dont like the "blockchain can be applied to anything" approach.  Many possible applications of blockchain do not need a blockchain, and risk over engineering just to use the latest tech.  Example above for Land Registry or Birth/Marriages, the existing solution works perfectly well because you have an inherently centralised system that is trusted.  Putting this on a blockchain adds nothing and you have to build new tools with access restrictions to manage it, so overall a net cost of resources.  Most application that tie to real world items are not viable as you still need to certify that the item does actually exist.  A blockchain can give you proof of ownership, track transition of an item through shipping etc, but cannot actual guarantee that the item is where claimed. If you trust that the actors in the system are applying the blockchain-physical interface, then why not trust a simpler non-blockchain solution?

Blockchain is applicable were either decentralisation is necessary/advantageous or trust is ambiguous. This is why banking will adopt it, because although its centralised, each bank cannot completely trust all other actors, so the blockchain can ensure (even enforce) trust relationships.

Blockchain can be applied to many technologies, but the most essential is the internet profile.

It is really a great technology, without it bitcoin and digital currencies will never be in existence. Since it is a great invention, a lot of people are planning to use this technology on other platforms. I've read a lot of articles about it and instead of me saying it one by one to you, you can just read it here in the links that I will post here. These are just some, you can also Google Search other if you want. Hope it helps.
