Today I tried to install Electrum wallet but the following error shows when I double click to access the wallet.
Installation process was successful, but the error shows when I click the .exe file to access the wallet.

ERROR 1 after the double click.

ERROR 2 when I click ok from the error 1

I hope I have described the issue efficiently. Please help!

Are you using an old version of Windows? If so look at this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2709897.0 for the solution. You may need to install KB2999226 Windows update and/or the Windows C++ redistributable.

Thanks Quin! It helped and I have installed Electrum successfully.

But I'm not sure I've setup the wallet correctly or not.
Because I wanted to get P2SH nested segwit (P2SH-P2WPKH) which will look like normal P2SH addresses (start with 3).
During setup I have created Bech32 wallet unintentionally or maybe not, but I didn't saw any option for P2SH.

And it is still not connected to the network. Lets see how long it takes.

You're welcome.

But I'm not sure I've setup the wallet correctly or not.

Nested Segwit (P2SH-P2WPKH) was only ever meant as a tempory transition to native bech32 Segwit. Electrum decided to just go straight to the end goal so it is not an option. A good feature of Electrum is it is easy to maintain multiple wallets so I'd just keep 2, 1 for Segwit and 1 for legacy.

And it is still not connected to the network. Lets see how long it takes.

That should happen almost immediately. Try changing the server it is connecting to.
