They don't disclose precise dates for such things anymore. The variables are just too many and investors are getting upset when deadlines are missed. They will be ready when they are ready.
Not to mention, there is too much fud resulting from timelines. It's always the "end of the world" now anytime there is news -- even if it's good or indifferent news. The crypto world is going downright crazy.
If I were making the decisions, nobody would know about ( previously discussed and approved ) imminent changes until about a week before it goes into effect.
Gotta minimize the fud window as much as possible.
