hello everyone,

I am looking forward for some hardware recommandations.

I have a board MSI H61 M P20 G3 socket 1155 which seems similars with as rock h61 pro btc, excepting it has only 1x PCIe x16 and 1 PCI port which I am using with an adapter for gigabit lan (I have high speed network and onboard only 100mbps). I already have 2x4gb ddr3 1333 dual channel and an i5 3570k installed, and a back-up of G2030 3ghz cpu & SSD.

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/H61M-P20-G3/Specification

I also have an old motherboard ASUS A8N-E socket 939 with 4gb ddr3 and AMD Opteron 2.2 ghz, but this is better equipped

1 x PCIe x16
1 x PCIe x4
2 x PCIe x1
3 x PCI

https://www.cnet.com/products/asus-a8n-e-nforce4-socket-939-atx-motherboard/specs/

I am planning a mining rig with 4-6 gpu, should I buy a pci expander for MSI H61 or use ASUS A8N-E with at least 4 ports PCIe x1 ?

Thank you in advance!.
