For those that don't know: https://hackernoon.com/meet-spoofy-how-a-single-entity-dominates-the-price-of-bitcoin-39c711d28eb4

If you aren't aware Bitfinex is rumored to own Tether.

If you'd like to lean more Google Bitfinex and Spoofy.

--

Everything is down huge today but Tether is the ONLY top 100 coin up.. Can you say manipulation? Plain as day.

I don't think so. I think that many are just using Tether as a guard against price volatility, since Tether is matched to the USD.

Sorry, this makes no sense. Tether is supposed to be pegged to the USD thus it is to be stable $1 if nothing goes wrong with it.

Tether has it fixed value so I do not see the manipulation things here.
Also, I did see couple of more coins with green things.
If you choose view all coin, you will see a lots more.

Also, this does not mean I object your statement of Market Manipulation, my idea is we need more proof.

Whether or not it is really backed by USD, as they claim, it is still the “safe haven” of the Crypto World.  Today, it proved it worked and even increased slightly, as it was designed to do.

I agree. Best to tie up your gains in USD as it doesn't fluctuate much. This sort of preserves the value in USD then be able to buy more at the bottom of the market. But it maybe too late now. Last week would have been a good exit, today is a good re-entry in my opinion.

It isn't rumored, it is known that Bitfinex owns tether. The problem with tether is that it's suppose to be pegged to the USD but huge amounts of tether is getting made and it could all just be backed by nothing.
