Hello there,

could you tell me where I could sell a very high amount of Bitcoin (approx. 100) and transfer them to Euro?

Are there any lists of exchanges with pros and cons?

Any help would be very much appreciated!!

No worries, I will not make the crisis worse Smiley

From what I've observed, All exchanges are very wary of accounts which are dealing with a very large sum of money particularly when you're dealing with fiat which is why what you should do is to divide that amount into small parts and deposit them to an exchange individually. And your account on that exchange should be verified.

If you can find someone or a group of people who's willing to buy it, you should do that instead (with an escrow of course). You can also setup a selling thread here.

Anycoin and Litebit have always served me very well, though I never traded that kind of an amount Smiley

You can sell them there in portions though. They pay via SEPA or PayPal.

I never had any problems, not even delays, but I would advise you to not put all your BTC in one transaction. Try it out first for yourself.

In these critically touchy times, don't flood exchanges with that many coins in one go. It will raise a red flag higher than Mt Everest and you might find your entire coins locked and blocked for ages until they investigate 10 generations of your family's history. They won't stop at genealogy. They will look into where you got the money for those coins and everything else about your life.

As mentioned above, you should divide them into chunks. Really small chunks. Even a single BTC can raise a ruckus if your bank has a zero tolerance policy for crypto-related transactions.

A private buyer with healthy liquidity would be a good solution.

Or perhaps operators of bitcoin ATMs. Not sure if they buy privately but if you price the coins reasonably close to market rate, they might consider a proposal to purchase some.

Bitstamp... expect lots of questions and KYC/AML procedures.

I've used Remitano with 0 issues multiple times. They're sort of an escrow service. I'd never dump that amount of cash in one go though. I'm fairly sure they're available in several European countries.

Most anonymous and convenient solution - go to localbitcoins. If you want better rates and get the better side of the spread, then create your own advertisement. But that'll take a lot of time for people to bite your offer.

Otherwise, search up sell bitcoin advertisements on localbitcoins and find one with high limits. Negotiate a deal with him in private, but make sure that when you're transacting you're going through localbitcoins escrow. Otherwise, you're not protected.

Make sure that the person you're dealing with has high reputation and preferably is a registered business. Otherwise there may be problems with his source of funds.

Bitstamp, kraken etc. will give you better rates but AML/KYC is difficult, therefore i wouldn't recommend them to you. For such a high volume trader, it'll turn out to be a worry.

Why not just talk to an exchange and see if they can facilitate this for you. Lots of exchanges have those big behind the scenes deals with clients so just do that and keep it off their main sell orders.bgood to go. Or just sell them all normally I guess. It's not that unrealistic for an exchange to see that amount of volume anyway.

Most exchanges these days will not offer you to talk to their big whales, because they do not know whether or not you are legit. But i know for a fact that Bitfinex does have OTC trading, and BTCChina when it was still one of the top trading exchanges for bitcoin were able to sell you or buy from you your bitcoins directly, since the KYC and AML requirements were low at the time.

But now, you're probably not going to be dealing with an exchange direct... If you're going to use an exchange, you're going to use an orderbook to place your order.

That's why i think if you talk to private traders with high volume, that can give you about market rate, it's going to be the best thing to do. If you dump all 100 BTC at a time you're probably going to take a haircut off market price anyways, and it's far more convenient than waiting for all your sell orders to execute and doing the papers.

BitPanda.com is for me the number one of exchangers to sell BTC for Euro. Their payments are very quick and easy. For higher amounts you need to verify. But that shouln't be a problem, when ID procedure is as smooth as the exchanges and the support. The exchanger has its residence in Austria.
