Anything can happen. More realistically we might see something like 40k, but who knows. Similar to how FUD spreads and the price dumps overnight, the price can grow overnight too. Just look how it skyrocketed in Nov/Dec last year. Best thing to do is hold and see what happens.

Do you still believe into whales manipulations ? All you must have to know is, whales will lose their power when bitcoin community grows as well whales would have cashed out their bitcoins by the levels of $5000/$10,000. So, we do not need to worry on whales till today.

$100k price levels are highly possible for bitcoins within 2018 as there are lots of new investors are coming in and lots of many positive news are happening around bitcoin ecosystem. All we need to do is, just hodling tightly.

IMO, it is still possible. A few days back, the total crypto market cap was around $750 billion. By the end of 2018, we can expect this to increase to around $1.5 trillion, as the number of crypto-users are increasing at a rate of around 100% per year. And we can further expect that the Bitcoin market dominance can increase to around 70% from the current 36%.

The question is flawed, absolutely everything is possible, what you need to ask if it is probable and the answer to that is a no, not even when bitcoin was 20k I thought we were going to see such a high price of bitcoin, but at the end no one knows exactly what it is going to happen, I think a more measured growth to 30k is a lot more likely and does not require bitcoin to grow many times mover the previous all time high.

I assume that this speculation is possible through 2018 because these speculators have years of experience and have been speculating prices before 2018 also and were 100% resulted to be true.
However this all depends on investors support, if there are more businesses involve in crypto market, the price will definitely continue to increase but ofcourse we will also see decrease periodicalky due to whales dump

Agreed. This is not a question of probability, but rather should be a question of realistic chances. I think Bitcoin realistically should not be able to hit 100k this year. I think ico's are creating a lot more market interest by bringing new coins. People have more options to invest in than ever before when it comes to crypto, and since they likely put their money in trying to get rich quick, they generally don't put all their investments into a single solid coin like Bitcoin or ethereum.

I think we should first consider whether or not bitcoin will hit 50k or 5k later this year. That would be the first and main step before 100k.

It's not clear yet based on how the price moves this past few days and we haven't reach $50K yet. Before i'm gonna think or rather dream of $50 or $100k, i'd rather think of when will the price get back to normal, as of now that's the best to assume and not that too high price. Although still possible.

Why it wouldn't be? we are just on the middle of the first month of January, there are more than 48 weeks left until the end of the year, why are you so negative? Just think good about it, having a wealthy mind and a positive mindset are always positive in here.
