Hello guys, I am here today to share my thoughts about Bittrex being shady once again.
This last few days we suffer one of the biggest dips on crypto in the last few months, but that is ok, it is part of the game.
But here is my problem: 5 hours before the dip start, I was observing the market, then I logout. After 1 hour I tried to login... but I was unable to do that, simply because Bittrex did not send me the "IP-verification" email! So I waited 12 hours... and then sent a message to Bittrex looking to fix it, considering that is the 2nd time this happens in few months this is really annoying...
Now, 3 days later I still cannot access my account, Bittrex did not respond my message and as I failed to login, I HAVE LOST 40% OF MY MONEY because I was unable to stop-loss.

Most of the exchange are facing the same problem, if you browse through the forum you will read many complaints and accusations against many exchange, days ago I asked how many staff these exchange has to meet the hundreds of support tickets sent to each day and today I had more or less the answer

Overwhelmed Cryptocurrency Exchanges Are Hiring Staff by the Hundreds

Quote
Cryptocurrency exchanges have been overrun for months, as record demand has caused throttling or restriction of service altogether. With exchanges buckling under the strain, a number of platforms have been forced to temporarily shut their books. On Thursday, Bitstamp announced plans to recruit 100 new call center staff as it struggles to feed the crypto frenzy.

Aware that you need real-time contact with us, and much better response times, we will be setting up a call centre with over 100 staff, which will be up and running in the coming weeks. We will also have a new ticketing system in place in 2 weeks from now to expedite the resolution of open tickets.

The exchanges need to make a lot of changes to offer good quality customer service and unfortunately I have not see that bittrex is doing anything to improve their customer service, so it will be difficult for them to answer and solve your problem

Why would an exchange have so many problems that it needs 100+ staff?

I don't think you understand how many new users/tickets/deposits they get per day and how difficulty is to handle all of them with a few staff members.

I remember that I read that in 2017, Poloniex were getting over 1000 new support tickets PER DAY, with more than 2100 tickets in some peak days. Now imagine Bittrex that has almost the double of Poloniex daily volume. How many tickets/users/deposits/withdrawals do you think they get per day? And how many when Bitcoin has a price sprike and go mainstream?

Other examples: Coinbase gets 1 million new users in just 1 month[1].

Bittrex is a global exchange therefore their users came from all over the world. Just imagine how much tickets they are receiving for even just a simple and minor problem. Don't bother if they needs 100+ staffs as they are the one who will paid them and it's a good move by an exchange to increase their staffs to somehow minimize the waiting time for those tickets to be responded.

Good thing they have a move like that compare to other exchanges that still not improving their way in handling massive tickets.

There are two problems:
1. He doesn't get confirmation link.
2. He doesn't get an answer to his support ticket.
Point two is already answered. Maybe it is your luck, that you didn't get in. Most of cryptocurrencies recovered already.
To point one: That sounds like you have false login data or you have to delete cookies and cache of your browser. Try maybe another browser. Look also into spam folder in your email account.
I had no problems to login these days.

This isn't the first time that a confirmation email hasn't been sent by an exchange and as a result funds have been lost, and the account owner is unable to actually access their accounts. I find it ironic that bittrex forces this security measure onto their customers, so that funds can be safer. But at the end if they don't send the confirmation email for whatever reason then the customer still loses out. There is really no point of having this system if it's going to be this unreliable.

Their support is crap as well... It's a well known fact.

I've quit using bittrex long ago. I completely lost faith in them.

I'm not sure what i'm doing differently, but i've never had to receive a verification email from Bittrex and I use it everyday. Maybe it's because I have 2fa? May want to look into that. I literally don't get any emails from Bittrex. Not even to withdrawal because I have 2fa turned on.

Did not have this issue and have been receiving all the verification emails on time. Instead, my verification also was cleared in time but it does happen at times the verification emails go to the spam folder or you would need to keep requesting verification emails to see if they are sent and leave the browser page open. I had an issue with cryptopia 2FA mails too but they sent it after 5 minutes. Better to use their Google authentication.
