 From the provided info;

 Dosent this mean you will make (if difficulty remains magically static): 4 (months) x 17 BTC = 68 BTC (x ~ $15 = $1020 return)

 Wouldnt you just be better buying 86.6 BTC today with the $1300?

well its around 70 BTC for 4 month but that dosent mean you need to sell them right away, you can wait until the amount/btc satisfy you. and if you take the 1 year contract, it makes you 210 BTC and at 15 US that makes you 3150 US

But the difficulty will rise and then you won't be making 17 a month...

 ... arent you forgetting difficulty increases every ** days?

 You wont see anything like this number (or even the 70 figure) unless miners instantly stop coming to BTC/ the network stops growing. I think in all cases you get a much larger return in BTC numbers by just buying the BTC today
