What if our world is really decentralized?

I used to have a thought about the connection like the internet but totally decentralized, about 10 years ago. But if this really happens in our world that our thoughts and ideas are not monitored by the authorities, will that be good for the society? Probably the world will be in a chaos, filled by the villains and heroes, like the comics we had in the 90s. The inner self of humans are restricted by the centralized morality, culture, economy etc. Blockcain probably are the key to release the things from the pandora's box. I just feels very uncertain about what we are facing in the future.

Decentralization is obviously good, but mankind tends to arrange in the group (i.e form a society). in any case, I think you could always disconnect, and the more decentralization - the more freedom you would have.

Decentralization, like other things and objects, can also be used for evil.
There was a movie about a decentralized game where people are dared to do some nasty shit.
I forgot the title of the movie but I will update this comment once I have it remembered.
