I did purchase a ledger nano because I am scared of losing coins. I was initially scared to use, but it is quite easy to manage. You can safely store eth, btc, dash, ltc and I believe more coins will be added eventually. I recommend storing parts of your 20 word backup in different spots.

there are so many wallets in which u can store ur coins but i would recommend u hardware wallet,paper wallet ...and for bitcoins as far as i know blockchain wallet is one of the best in the market to store cryptocurrency.but u should save your personal data like passwords in your mobile phone or tab to avoid risk in case u forget your passwords.

The bitcoin network has the strong security in the world and every bitcoin's being attacked or stolen was due to human error. With wallet like trezor and ledger you're in good hand but you still need to avoid downloading malicious app or emails.

If you're concerned about the security then you can opt to use hardware wallet. It is far from possible ro be hacked, just use a clean / virus free comouter to access your hardware wallet.

I would suggest you to use clean computer with antivirus program. You should buy a hardware wallet and you should just use internet to send your coins to wallet. And that's all. The safest way is that for sure. But if you trade you should use exchange websites. So there is always risk to use exchange websites. You should be careful about protecting your account and details.

I use a hardware wallet, Trezor. U can keep your Bitcoin, ETH, Token ERC-20, NEM, LTC, ETC and so on in this wallet. or Ledger Wallet dude.
It's safe and doesn't share your phrase.

Hardware  wallets are the best choice to keep your bitcoin/ altcoins. They are top secured from hacking, but personally, I see that hardware wallet used when you have a massive amount of bitcoin to keep, for example an amount more than 10 btc, otherwise you can use online wallets, like blockchain, they are secure too if you save your private keys carefully.

I think ledger nano s or Trezor wallet  is the best but I wallet does not support all coins. So exactly which coins are you want to keep safe?

I am new to crypto and just invested in OUICOIN which is now in ICO and will be on exchange in near June, so i don't think ledger nano s or Trezor will support it.

it's an hard task, Hardwarewallet seems to be good as long as we can trust in this peace of hardware. Paperwallets can be backdoored or not working at all and you don't recognize it. A safe Computer is also a good way, with a linux OS.

Could you elaborate on the fact you're telling people that paperwallets can be backdoored or not working at all?
If you use a well vetted paper wallet generator on an clean, offline PC and use bip38 encryption (like it's supposed to be used), i don't see any attack vector at all...

As long as the RNG is ok, there shouldn't be any problems.

As for your claim that a paper wallet might not be working at all: nobody is stopping you from generating a batch of 50 paper wallet, then try to decrypt the private key of an unfunded wallet and try to import it in electrum. If electrum accepts the paper wallet's private key, and the address printed on the paper wallet matches the address shown by electrum, it should work.
An other option is to download a paper wallet generator that also generates testnet paper wallets, then try out the full procedure on the testnet before moving to the main net.

I would recommend hardware wallet for better safety. For this you can try ledger and trezor. But not all coins sorry support these wallet. For Bitcoin I would like to save in block chain , although it is not safest way. Electrum is good too.

-the original software provided by the manufacturer is clean
