The US is going to fight with the crypto-currency financing of terrorism

The new US bill, aimed at combating terrorism, implies a reward for providing information on the financing of terrorism.

A bill submitted to Congress by Ted Badd (R-NC), a member of the House of Representatives of the Financial Services Committee, suggests the creation of the Independent Task Group Fintech.

The group, among other things, will pay remuneration for information on cases of financing of terrorist organizations. The amount and currency in which the reward will be paid is not yet established.

According to the text of the document, the federal government is primarily obliged to investigate the use of new financial technologies in criminal activities.

This is so pointless in my opinion. True, they might be able to deal with the financing of terrorism with regular cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, but what about privacy coins such as the ones based on the CryptoNight algorithm. It is impossible to track transactions with these coins. Their "fight" will amount to nothing as terrorists will simply resort to privacy coins making this "fight" impossible.
