HODLing for a very long time is not a good strategy anymore. I don't believe that there will be a miracle coin which will do what Bitcoin made in previous months.

It is better to put target profit points. For example %20. If it is reached, sell some of assets to take profit (maybe %50) and continue hodling the rest for another profit target. I never sell on minor loss and be patient to recover. So far, it works for me.

In order to actively trade, you must constantly be aware of all events. But this does not guarantee you a good result of your trades. Not everyone has time to constantly monitor information and news. For such people, long-term investments are better than frequent trades in a short period of time

For my experience, i try to get in bountys/airdrop and when i get the tokens/coins i usually hold. So no investment made, and if i´m lucky to get a coin to the moon, i can cash out later.

Suggest holding some ETH for long term as u mentioned in the first option and invest the ICO. Combination of  this holding strategy is strong to go through crisis and able to win.

Long term investment has high profitable but it has its own risk too. Daytrade also has each risk and profit.

But i am seeing so much scam projects in there. We have to research so much. Also i'm looking for coins which one is not pumped in the bullish season and buy it from deep and hodling it

my strategy is quite easy to buy when the price is cheap and sell when the price is high. I do not need time how long to hold the coin. which is required at times my profit when selling or buying alt coin.

Holding recently is not certain way to get big profit mate.
Be smart is much better. For example you buy low and if the price goes up, no matter how long, you will sell it and wait for lower again to buy. Time will not sure to give you profit. Check several time in a week.

Waiting 1 year is good plan for me. I like to follow everyday the coin graphs. I think i like to feeling while hodl. At least two coin i keep my hands, and the others doing buy / sell.

Doing both holding and trading such good strategy now.
Not only holding but day trading is also very good to gain profit. This downfall we can use it to gain a lot of money if we  have spare money like whales. Buy back at this point is very recommended.
