Is it still possible to mine bitcoins or litecoins by using cpu?

Not sure about litecoin, but no way would you be successful with bitcoin on a CPU.  Cry

That's like searching in the river for gold, still possible but not really worth it.

I've tried for a few days using a work PC  Grin (so considering zero psu cost)
The results of my testing is that you get more BTC using faucet websites than mining...
So my vote is big NO for BTC. Haven't tried other crypto currencies.

Ok, thanx. As I`ve understood, now mining is only for professionals using special equipment.
