Should I hold off buying another 1080ti I am currently mining with 1080ti and 1070 through Nemos to AHASHPOOL. I can get another 1080ti for £700 but should I just wait for the next Nvidia GPU lines ?

Any advice would be helpful

Depend on release date of Nvidia volta cheapset (2080) and it's cost as there is no official date.

Also you don't know hot it will perform for mining, I'd better go now with 1080ti as it more trusded and checked cheapset. Also you can buy it now and it will work for you from the day you started it up, while you waiting for volta card.

Just look at how much a 1080ti makes you per day. if it pays for itself within 3-4 months or more, or less, why wait for a gpu line that hasn't even been announced yet?

Best advice would be to just buy crypto for $700.

If you are like me who love everything about mining and to have the latest graphic cards I would wait for 2080. That's what I'm doing but I'm just a hobby miner.

Heck even if you have the card for a month or two before the new card comes out it still retains value and can sell it if thats the case.
If your looking invest in it now, and you can always turn around and sell it later and still get the new card.  I'm curious about the 2080's as well but will wait til partner boards are out with the better than stock cooling solutions.

My hobby is mining, I cant afford to drop £700 into the chain as If I loose all my money its gone I like the investment with having hardware to fall on if the industry collapses atm because of bitcoin drop Whatotmine shows really low figures I guess we are waiting for alt coins to catch up as well

An article was released today and it stated that the gtx 1080 ti is going for $ 1500 and vega for $2000, so my advice to you is buy crypto, dont waste time with mining at current prices, even if the gtx 1080 ti was $600 I would stick to buying and holding the coin cause buying and holding past 2 years gave 1800% while mining only 230%.

Yup.  Someone sold their Vega 64 for $1200 and bought the Titan XP there was a write up the other day.
And really 1080ti's are going for $1000-1150 not $1500.

I'm small time only got a few cards going, but like you its just a new hobby to check it out.  I rather buy a card and mine, vs buying crypto.  Sure I might make more if I buy a certain currency at the time but mining is a heck of a lot safer if the market drops out at least you still have a card that you can sell.

time is money. I think maybe you should buy 1080ti right now rather than wait for newest nvidia GPU lines. I don't really understand about mining, but all I know time is money, if you already have money for 1080ti that's why I think you should buy it asap and start earning more earlier.

Ya definitely wait with prices as they are. I'm excited for Volta but at the same time, like someone else said - we need better cooling boards that might not be out right away anyway. I imagine they will sell like hotcakes when they come out making the 1070 & 1080's even more attractive then.

Yep your right would be good to see how good they are for mining. I guess nvidia might help us with mining as they made so much money from selling these cards
