Hi there.
Who is user Pali? Are you somehow connected with coinstarter team?
Why so late with the ANN? I guess better late than never. I'm little surprised by so little activity here.
Would completely miss this thread if not for this one Coinstarter.com (scam?) Anyway, welcome at bitcointalk.
Many questions but...
one thing is certain with coinstarter viz they love heavy graphics   Roll Eyes
Look at the website, welcome screen is super CPU demanding, now they are posting 800x600 gifs  Grin
Is this why we have those multi cores for?.. well maybe.

Indeed, it gets laggy when loading their website.

Interesting project. Glad you are creating this thread so that we can get some answers to questions. I dont think Coinstarter is a scam, on the contrary, but I do think you need to engage more on the marketing and the web site. Even if you have a great project and a great idea the first impression is important. Obviously you need to update your website to a more responsive theme or get a faster web server Cheesy

That said, I am exited about this project and I think you have a bright future Smiley Cant wait for some updates and replies to questions here and to get to know you guys.

Do the coinstarter box (curated ico coins) only come from ico's starting on coinstarter?

What are some examples of coins that have been delivered via coinstarter box already?

I thoroughly went through their team roster and linkedin profiles.
No signs of forged accounts and a lot of them have activity from years ago. The team seems pretty credible to me.

Interestingly.. you'll notice that they don't have a marketing strategist  Grin
That might explain the current marketing fiasco

Also, has anyone seen this video?
I found it on a couple team members' LinkedIn profiles.

Who is Pali?
I’m into crypto for a while and love to support amazing projects like Coinstarter. To contribute to projects that will change the world. You can find me on reddit and telegram as @cryptomatthias. And @matt (with avatar of myself) on slack. I’m here to help. You can PM me anytime for more details as to what projects I work on.

WHY SO LATE?
We wanted to be sure we weren't rushing our message. We want to put out a quality post that covered the foundation of what CoinStarter is all about

HEAVY SITE GRAPHICS
Thank you for your input! We're working hard on simplifying the elements surfaced on our website, however our top priority has been to get our platform right.

Yes, (I was told they can come from others by Cornell - Joshakatz)

We have coins submitted and many projects, Coinstarter will choose the best out of them and release them as soon as BOX launches, March 2018 is the plan.

Hi pocketart! It's great to see folks researching and doing their homework on CoinStarter.

We've recently begun pulling resources together to bring a unified brand message and vision to our platform. This goes for videos, banners for ad placement and social marketing and, ultimately, the website. Rest assured that everything is coming together, but we love input from our community and especially those just recently interested in what we're up to.

Keep it coming!  Smiley

Hey sir,

I've tested it on my end and it works for me; however which device are you on? Mobile or PC? Are you on our slack server? PM me and I'll try to help more.

Is participate with 1 ETH or more and receive 2 year free box membership still on?  Huh I mean it's still there in participate page, but I remember reading some time ago that it was supposed to be only in pre-ico.

They want to start their platform by February 2028, so very soon. Maybe they just used the time for developing?
The account site is great imo! As is the idea. I love. Especially the free 2 year subscription.

BUT

THERE IS NO KYC!?!

EDIT: Just talked with them in telegram, KYC will be post ICO!

Yes, 1 ETH or more will earn you 2 years free for BOX membership.

I've already joined their program since launch, but it's seems very slow in movement.

When we initially “launched” in the summer of 2017 it was a beta to test the market for an interest. When we grew to over 100k members in a month we knew that there was a solid interest. After the initial growth, we worked through the legalities of forming the company. Nothing is built overnight and anything good takes time. Thank you for being with us from the start! Coinstarter to the moon!!! 🚀
