Anyone have experience setting up Bitcoin/Crypto payment option for E-commerce?

Hi,

My brother currently runs a home furnishing e-commerce site (www.decormarket.com) and is interested in adding a crypto/bitcoin payment option. Does anyone know where I would start? I tried registering on CoinGate but apparently their services are not available to US customers. I also know about BitPay but they only accept Bitcoin. Any other good options?

You can check .coinpayments https://www.coinpayments.net/ there are different tools to be able to accept cryptos. If I remember you can accept ~100 cryptos, it should be enough... You can find API/IPN, plugins (Opencart, Magento, WP, Dupral and so on) and others solutions (simple buttons,...)

I agree with LeGaulois, we are currently using CoinPayments for my organization's BFD Token fundraiser, and it's worked great.  Just remember to test it first with their Litecoin Testnet.  And also, of course, remember to turn off the Testnet coins as accepted before you begin accepting cryptocurrency from your customers.

Integration is smooth and it works quite well.  I'd highly recommend them.

Is it possible to use them in the United States? When I go to their website I get the following message:

"This service is censored in your state or territory, due to regulations which mandate the extraction of your personal, private, information. This jeopardizes your safety, so we refuse to do it."

Since you're having issues due to your location, I think "Shifty Button" by ShapeShift is your best option. It allows you to accept crypto payments and instead exchanges them to the coin of your choice.

I visited the website with a VPN that was using an IP from USA and didn't get any messages or warnings, so It's applicable to you as well.
