Well I hope so because I have mine and I'm just holding it until it reach a decent amount. I didn't bought it like you as I got it from the hard fork so I got it for free so I don't mind if I profit to it or not. Nevertheless, seeing its roadmap it's quite impressive and timely so it's still have a huge potential in the long run.

I don't think it has any future. It was an opportunistic fork to capitalise on people keen on forks and airdrops. It doesn't have any users, which means it is pretty much useless.

I personally do not believe in any forks of the original chain and especially in BTG. Do you remember the story when they suggested to use some links/wallets to get the coins after the fork and when people did it, they lost their Bitcoins? Was they refunded by the team? No! But this info was on the official web site of BTG. For me this alt is scam

Do not buy this coin for speculation purposes, bitcoin gold is just being holded for all those who forgot to sell all of them after the fork. Or just for those who are mining it with tons of Nvidia 1070's, it is not a bad idea, it is giving around $4 per card.

For any coin coming in to solve the network issue will win if they can solve both (1) transaction overhead cost (2) network congestion. Everything else will fade away. With only a fraction of the population in the crypto market, the network gets bogged down - think about what will happen with mass adoption.

It will not have a future as a real payment system or a currency being used by a critical mass of users like bitcoin. BTG will be nothing but a forked coin that will not be taken seriously. Trade it if you must, but I am sure you will be trading them back for bitcoin in the end.

Nothing. It won't have a future. It's very clear that their purpose is only to profit by riding on bitcoin's name. If anything, bitcoin cash would have a better trading value that bitcoin gold. At least bch is being accepted in different online merchant services.

Bitcoin Gold has not yet received the needed attention from the cryptocurrency community that is it is not yet surging in value though there is nothing wrong with its price now compared to other coins and tokens. Everything may boil down to how good are the people behind the cryptocurrency, their plans and how good are they in implementing those plans in the roadmap. I would say just continue on hodling to what you got and soon you will real the fruits of your sacrifice and investment. Good luck to you and to BitcoinGold.
