Domain registered to a web designer, lots of wrong facts on their webpages, and amateurish design.

Beware, I would not give any identification papers to this bank, it also gives you a range of accounts, all with negative interests (because of their fees).

Be ready to rip this apart.. 1..2..3...GO!

PS. If it is legit, it's extremely amateurish.

PS II: Did a search for 'Global Standard Bank' on bitcoin.org forum first, but no hits. If they were legit, they'd surely announce their presence here?

Now now... Labeling a new project a scam mainly due to it's web design isn't really fair to the developers, is it?

Also, the design is not that bad. I think it's ok.. I mean... just look at Mt.Gox for pete's sake!

Moreover, we should accept that the more widely adopted Bitcoins become, the less there is a need for a new project development to introduce and get blessing from the forum's elders before doing anything.
Perhaps they aren't fully operational yet and was not ready for business and introduction to the board, (yes, even though the PR is out)

It's true that we should be cautious, but labeling them scam scam scam like this, even though they haven't done or propose anything, isn't fair in my opinion.

Yes, the idea of storing a large amount of my bitcoins to someone else who is not a reputable exchange doesn't amuse me at all, but the fact that I would never trust them doesn't necessarily make them a scam.

Wow.  A savings account where you pay (right now) $15 a month to let then use your money and you get to pay them .25 BTC per transaction above 10 transactions.  Oh, and you need to pay them 1 BTC for each telephone inquiry.

There's a big difference between fraud and something that's just a bad deal. Publicly accusing someone of fraud without proof is potentially defamatory. On the other hand, I can't see who this would appeal to aside from people who have very large amounts of BTC and little common sense, exactly who you might target if you were planning to just take the money and run.

They are based in Montreal apparently, and they claim they will have physical locations in most major Canadian cities and in New York.

It is a shame, it would be nice to have stable alternatives to mybitcoin.com, something that would cost maybe 1 or 2 btc a year.
