It has been on almost every news platform and television channels, you could even hear your neighbor talking about it at the BBQ, or maybe your post man tried to convince you to invest in litecoins.
Bitcoin has been really gone into the people heads during the last few months and some people assume that it has been gone mainstream already, and some believe that it is not even close to mainstream.
I think that we can consider bitcoin as mainstream because a very large precent of people have already heard about bitcoin atleast one time, it doesn't necessarily mean that they own bitcoin or know what it does, but it means that they know about the coin, something we could only dream of few months back.
What do you think?
it's hit's the main stream very long time ago
I don't think it did, actually not at all. Well if you consider Japan only, sure he did there but even in Japan it's not like there is a huge amount of transactions with Bitcoin anyway (network allows 7 transactions/ second so actually this is not possible for Bitcoin to hit mainstream right now, unless Lightning Network gets widely spread soon.
But if we mention a specific price, there is analyst named Van-Petersen who stated last year that believes the price of Bitcoin could reach 100k USD if crypto-currencies account for ten percent of the average daily volumes of fiat currencies trade in ten years. This is what I call mainstream. Wait and see.
