Mining while idle pc

Hello, I tried to make a scheduled task to open guiminer while my pc is idle and start to mine automatically, and to close guiminer when pc is not idle anymore.
the problem i have es that it closes guiminer but the mining process doesn't stop as you might have guessed. do you have any idea to make it stop mining automatically?
