I am getting quotes for my token to develope but not sure what the normal price range is for a standard token and smart contract?

What would you say if I ask you the price to make an App? It depends on what you want and it depends on what degree of trust are you going to put into it.

If you need just something very simple, there is a project called Simple Token that may suit your needs. Also, some other developments are out there to generate tokens out of the box with just point and click. Just research a bit and you´ll find them.

That depends. But usually, it doesn't go lower than 1 ETH even if, say, you only need a simple, not so complicated smart contract. However, if you need a more complex, customizable smart contract with overall development, including minting, scheduling, airdrop, etc. you may probably need to spend around 27-30 ETH for all of that.
