I think there is an opportunity for a service that works similar to wordpress but for hosted shopping sites.

People would list their products and set a price in their currency they want for it which then gets converted to bitcoins. This should update with the latest bitcoin prices on the fly so that people dont have to constantly babysit their products.

Not everyone wants or needs an entire website or needs the cost associated with it.

You could list so many products for free or pay for more slots. If I had something like this I would be dropshipping like crazy right now for bitcoins!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Not something I use, and I initially heard about them because I applied for a job a long time ago, but since that time it seems that everyone and their cat sells on http://www.etsy.com/ and a bitcoin clone could be fairly easy to implement.

I don't have the bandwidth to do it myself, so I'll just leave this here Smiley

This could be replicated using the Joomla VirtueMart/bitcoin plugin that Mike developed.

Yeah they are quite popular nowadays. I have excess bandwidth but I dont know if joomla or drupal is the answer.  Tongue

Something like etsy for bitcoin would be pretty cool. I'd be willing to donate a few coins (more if I get more in the near future) to someone who can provide either bandwidth or programming to hire the other (or if you can provide both, to keep).

I'm interested in doing something like this, I'll use Drupal to do it, I'd be interested to hear Bounty Requirements specified out.
