I'm looking for some reviews and thoughts on App software that helps keep track of buying coins and values when purchased and to current day.

Depends on where you are from, and what pairs you want to use. There is a lot of criteria involved in the choice of a trading platform, but one of the most important is the market volume.

You can see the biggest market volumes for Bitcoin Cash on CoinMarketCap.com

Altpocket is,so far, the best looking alternative I've seen. One of the best tools out there.
