I'm just concerned that it might eventually become the only method of payment (Ripple or not), which would be terrible. |

Unfortunately, we will not be allowed to participate in this greatest event, perhaps later we will be able to see these tokens on the exchange, but so far our money is simply not enough, in order to invest in the Telegram project, the minimum threshold for investment is about 20 million |

That gimmick was a thing of the past, why would a regular Joe wanted a chip implanted below his skin?
As if Fingerprints and Face Detectors aren't enough.
If you need to be cardless, an address per person accessible through his bio is enough as the identifier.

Its a scary concept for sure. I do think a lot of people would love the idea of a implanted chip, but on the other hand i know there will be many that refuse. Interesting times.

call me oldschool or any name, but this is sick. As much I like xrp, and beeing a longtime hodler this is scary. But well they could have choosen any other fasr crypto to do this shit anyways. Hope this kind of use of tech gets regulated as fast as possible.

I believe this campaign which sells the chips is itself not so popular and it perhaps won't have strong impact on Ripple, but it is still a move forward and it establishes xrp as real money. What are these microchips anyway? At first I thought it was like these implants for deaf people, but then I read that there are chips containing the main information about a person! I don't think I would like to have one, since it is kinda weird to keep such info under the skin. I might be useful in case something happens to me, but what if the chip is tracked and so the person is unable to hide or just disappear for a while. |
