This was already posted here, but maybe this news deserves better visibility. I feel a bit speechless.  A quote from the BFL forum: Don't you think it's misleading that above the Pre-Order now button it still says this?
"Tape out August 2013
November/December delivery"
What you saying now is that this only applies to a few orders that were made days ago.
I based my decision on November if lucky, December probably and January if there was a delay. Your post now makes that sounds like it might be another six months on top. I'd be happier if I knew how many you'd need to make before you got to my order and even a worst case prediction based on your lowest prediction of how many your suppliers could process per week. Yes, I would like to change it, but I have a sneaking suspicion if I have it changed now people will pitch a fit about false advertising or something. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I'm open to arguments about this. If you order now, I would not expect you to take delivery of your unit until sometime in February. |

I was expecting this, even if they get some units out the door in Nov/Dec, it will be a trickle as Xmas will shut everything down.

That does change a lot. 3-4 months in Bitcoin mining is an eternity at this stage.

I totally agree. I feel sorry for all people who bought last year but who buys now must be a sort of Darwin Award candidate. 1359 transaction numbers since Saturday morning.  |

lol I hope people are not even the least bit surprised by this. These butterflies are not worth $4K with Feb delivery. Josh should change his text to: "If you order now, I would not expect you to take delivery of your unit until sometime in February 2015." |

I'm confused. Didn't they say first orders would be in 2013, and then later orders would be in 2014? Wouldn't orders placed today (as in not their first orders) be pushed back to Jan/Feb of 2014, which is what Josh is saying? How is any of this wrong or inconsistent?

Reading their thread, it seems to me that they were talking about the first orders placed in August (expected to ship in Nov/Dec).
But now November seems officially cancelled.
