Hello.
There is a serious topic for discussion. Which is relates to the fact that recently there is a mess on the forum, and the moderators and the forum administration are closing its eyes. Honest users who participate in the life of the forum and want to earn are made to suffer.
That is, a person created an account, spends time, forces to pump the rank, and someone wrote not meaningful, foolish messages. In addition to this, creates 10 such accounts, and then pumps out and sells them batches. Unfortunately, the brains are not attached to the account that is being purchased. It was also noticed that on the forum there are accounts for which the bot writes messages. Cool, right?
One thing, there is still one problem with Bounty. When earnings fell to zero, as the number of participants in each Bounty Company now counts in the thousands. In my opinion, a couple more months and will be estimated at tens of thousands. But the revenues will also decrease proportionally. And the problem lies in the multitude of dummy accounts (In particular, the Russian branch is different)

I want to discuss

1). Buying / Selling Accounts
2). Enter strict verification of accounts for all Bounty members, as well as registering a new account on the forum
3). The first forum rules "1. There is no zero or low value, meaningless and uninteresting messages or threads.

1) Is already highly frowned upon. There's several DT2+ members who will tag accounts that are either bought/sold or encourage the use of sales explicitily to spam the forum.

2) There's already a fee in place when you register a new account from a banned IP ( IP from account that has been banned previously). I don't think adding something such as a passport verifications is going to do more good then harm, and it ultimately ruins why this forum was created in the first place.

3) Report posts that are low value, they'll be removed. There's also several DT2 members which will tag accounts that are constantly spewing out oneliners just to get paid, essentially making the account worthless.

The quickest easiest solution to all the current problems on this forum is simply banning paid sig ads. Problem solved but theymos has already stated he won't do that. So now we have to deal with the BS.

This is a Discussion forum about BTC it should have never been allowed to get to this point. It is now a place to earn some BTC while destroying the forum.

Stop discussing all those micro-payment earners like faucets, and don't advertise them. If you want to earn money from posting, then there are plenty of forums to advise you about it. Don't allow the promotion of ponzi schemes or the selling of stolen goods.

You can still have serious discussion here by making your thread self-moderated.But the number of mature threads are very low, and they get lost amongst the threads created by spammers.
I think the threads which are self moderated should be highlighted(by changing the color of title maybe), which will make it easier for people to differentiate between a thread and trash.
I think this will be a good idea to refine this forum.

Do not forget that BTC and altcoins are a worldwide hype.  This forum is the place to be and you can earn money here.  If  I see what I got from a bountycampaign (ok, it was a translation too), that amount of money is a 10 (yes, ten) years salary in third world countries...

What do you think will happen next?  It will explode...  Something needs to be done or this will go exponential once the word gets out.  When that happens the forum will become useless and the whole cryptoscene will suffer not at least in credibility.

Word is out, Not only people are paying less money for cheap posters they are using the forum to advertise scam/ponzi.
With new boards for serious discussion I doubt anything would change.

I get how lucrative it is, but if you can't speak the language that you're trying to write, then your posts are going to be garbage.  And that's the problem bitcointalk is currently facing.  There's been an influx of people who see bitcointalk as hitting the jackpot, and yet a lot of them are lazy, ignorant, and just plain don't care about what they post.  That's why we're seeing copy/pasting without attribution, and TONS of accounts that all post very similar thoughts.  When you have a limited vocabulary, there's only so many ways you can string together the words that you know.

Otrkid, don't hijack this thread with your frustrations. What the pharmacist said is true. There are a lot of people here who have little to contribute and often language is a barrier.  This problem has nothing to do with negative trust. Go fight your battle somewhere else.

It's not about the "language" but about the poverty in those countries.This forum is getting spammers not because they can't speak "english" but because they live in a competitive capitalist country with near to zero opportunities.

What Pharmacist actually trying to say is that when somebody can't talk in some language properly, then what he said will be rubbish, simply copy-paste, repeating others post and so on.

I understand you wanted to point out why those people look this forum as a source of money, it is because of chronic poverties in their countries. But I don't see that Pharmacist is targetting the non-native speakers. So far, as far as I know, he gives neg-trust not because they are coming from third world countries or something like that, but because of the low quality of their post in this forum.

How is merely stating facts rude? Take a look for yourself in the Bitcoin Discussion section or Offtopic/Beginners & Help, and tell me how many of the posts there are written without any mistakes.

Those post are indeed a pile of trash from third world countries.
And not all non native speakers post "garbage".That's all I want to say.Peace  

Lets not go off-topic, OP wants to talk about the spam generated from bounty campaigns.Lets help theymos in finding a solution, instead of playing the blame game.

How about changing the waittime?

It is indeed about the language, and you can save the liberal rainbow-world BS for another sucker.  Bitcointalk has local boards where people can write things in their mother tongue all they like.  The only reason ignorant, dirt-poor, 3rd-world country members post in the main section is that they're trying to get paid. 

Shitposters get banned all the time, but there are too many of them for mods to keep up on.  May I remind you that it's against forum rules to post garbage?  Are we supposed to allow this because we feel sorry that someone lives in Indonesia and has a family to support?  I assume you've seen how many scammers there are here--why would anyone even believe such a sob story?

You can think I'm racist all you like.  I have no problem with people posting in the local boards, and there are some people here from Asia who post brilliantly.  They're not the problem.  The people I've tagged so far ARE the problem.
