I am auctioning off (the orders for) six (6) 500GH mining units from Butterfly Labs. These were originally ordered as two 1500GH rigs, but Butterfly Labs has changed the specs on the units since the time of the order and now each 1500GH rig will be shipped as three 500GH rigs. The original order can be seen here:
http://www.gafter.com/~neal/Order100015403.pdf. The specs on these units can be seen here:
https://products.butterflylabs.com/homepage/500-gh-s-bitcoin-miner.html. Your rigs will be upgraded so that each one includes an integrated Nexus 7 mining host as the front panel display. These were among the last purchased as 1500GH rigs before Butterfly Labs stopped accepting orders for them.
I have not yet taken delivery of the rigs. Butterfly Labs most recent estimate is that their backlog of orders will be shipped by the middle of September; see
https://forums.butterflylabs.com/announcements/692-bfl-asic-status-3.html#post43041. Because Butterfly Labs does not allow any changes to the ownership or shipping address of existing orders, your rigs will be shipped to the hosting facility described here:
http://www.butterflylabs.com/third-party-hosting/ and set up to mine on your EMC pool account.
Included in your purchase is the first month of hosting. During that month we will complete the ownership transfer and you can arrange for continued hosting, change pools, and/or you can arrange for your rig to be shipped to you.
Bidding starts at 180 BTC per unit, and the bidding increment is 5 BTC. Please post your bids on this thread. When you bid, please also send me a private message with evidence of your ability to pay (for example, a bitcoin address with sufficient balance along with a message signed using its private key). I will periodically post a tally of the accepted bids.
I will accept bids posted here with a posting date on or before August 27 2013. I may end the auction early if all units are sold.
