Hey I have what's called a "Kill-A-Watt". You plug whatever into it and it shows you current power consumption in watts and also a history of how much was consumed. You could reset it and come back excactly 24 hours later and then record the results in a log. Do this a few days here and there and then average. Then you'd know your average cost each day and could just multiply that by 30 for monthly cost for tax write off purposes.
But what I'd like to know if there is something better, that doesn't cost too much. Something as reliable as Kill-A-Watt but perhaps allows you to communicate to it via WIFI and/or Bluetooth and get reports and what not? That's be sweet.

I wonder if there are any pdu's that keep track of wattage at the wall. That would be sweet, because all you would have to do is the calculation into kwh and multiple by the rate you're paying once a month. |

I have a metered pdu, but it only shows me amp draw on each bank.

In my country we have a prepaid electricity plan. There is a panel you have to keep power too. (You use a battery in it to first get it plugged in since there is no power yet) then you enter the number to recharge how many watts you have. It tells you what your current usage is so you can tell like that and it is a cheaper method but bit as precise.

I use a Belkin WeMo Insight and it spits out a .csv file to my email at the same time everyday. Not cheap, but got mine on a sale for slightly more than a Kill-A-Watt.

What is out there for 208/220/240V L6 outlets? I had an electrician wire two 30A L6 outlets for my current PDU's.

Oh I have the Corsair HX1200I power supply, should I just install the software and use that to monitor the power usage? I've never used the software before. This whole link thing is entirely new to me since buying this rig hardware a couple weeks back. |

I have the link hooked up now (to usb header) and installed the software. Yeah it shows me input and output wattage. Doesn't keep track though does it? Like generating a report for a time period. I wonder if there is some software which works with corsair link that records the information and can generate reports and/or graphs.
