Ok, so I know there are at least a few people who are going to give me crap for this but I'm just gonna keep trudging on anyway as so far everything is working exactly how it is supposed to but of course...just to be clear on what my intent is... THIS IS A LOAN TO BUILD REPUTATION ON THE BTCJAM WEBSITE, NOT HERE ON BITCOINTALK! DO NOT INVEST IF YOU ARE UNCOMFORTABLE INVESTING IN A LOAN DESIGNATED PURELY TO BUILD REPUTATION. This is the third and final rep building loan I will post. And so...here is the breakdown...

First loan (BTCJam posting - BitcoinTalk thread)
0.25 btc with a 10% return
...successfully funded and repaid early!

Second loan (BTCJam posting - BitcoinTalk thread)
0.5 btc with a 5% return
...successfully funded and also repaid early!

Third loan (this one - https://btcjam.com/listings/6495)
1 btc with a 2.5% return

After that hopefully I will have enough reputation to take out the 6 btc loan I'd like to in order to buy some equipment for the Karaoke business my (shh, she doesn't know yet) future wife and I are working on starting. Wink

And for those asking why I don't just ask for the 6 btc loan for Karaoke equipment... At this point...I still dun wanna so neh Tongue

EDIT: Successfully funded...ty ty! Cheesy

dude, do you ever read other "I need rep threads?"  People won't invest in you just because you have fake reputation.  It's not  the legit earned reputation.

I've had 2 successfully funded AND paid loans through BTCJam thus far. I'm not funding myself so...somebody invested, a few people actually, and they came out ahead. ...nothing ventured nothing gained?

Anywho, thanks for stopping by Cheesy

Yeah right... the user that lent to you has an account 22 hours old.   Roll Eyes

You created a second account and funded yourself to make yourself look legit.  You're not the first scammer to do this.

This account is definitely hacked or was purchased. Right there is a red flag, this user claims to be new YET is from 2012. Yeah OK.

Damn, I just lost my time replying to him, and might even have helped him in doing so. Shitty day.

[OVER] RIDDLES 2nd edition --- this was claimed. Look out for 3rd edition!

Lets see if I can cover everything here...

I am not new to the forums, I am new to requesting loans (obviously). I don't 'think' I ever claimed to be a complete noob although thinking back I could easily see how that could be assumed based on what I said in my original OP from the first thread ("noob here...hope I'm doing this right." - http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=279181.msg2982984#msg2982984 ) even though I HAVE in fact posted a great deal about mining software and hardware as you should be able to see by looking at the 'past posts by this user' in my profile...or whatever the link is called. As I mentioned in my other thread...I...nah, don't feel like typing it again hang on...k, here, go read yerself - http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=279181.msg2990022#msg2990022

I did not create another account on BTCJam to fund my own project. While it does look that way on the first loan, the second loan was funded by multiple individuals and a few of those accounts would be harder for me to fake...unless 'I' am in fact one of THEIR new accounts, I suppose that is a possibility. Anywho, verify this at https://btcjam.com/listings/6475 and see the 3 investors. Oldest account is 3 months old so again...it IS a possibility but I am telling you...I only own one BTCJam account.

um...what was the other? Oh right...THe CaPS. I used to run a BBS back in the day called RePTiLeS aNoNYMouS which 'may' be cached on some old BBS Lists somewhere. I ran it in 707 area code in California and I can't remember off hand what the Wisconsin area code was...but I ran it there for a while too. I was using Renegade, Iniquity, MajorBBS, and ...crap, can't remember but whatever the software was that MajorBBS became...oh and even Wildcat for a bit...anyway, those softwares at various times. My point was, the caps are a throwback to my younger days. I've always thought they looked kinda fun and were attention grabbing. Obviously they aren't cool anymore but certainly remain attention grabbing Wink

I 'think' that was it for now. Thanks for playing. Last time I checked this loan was 28% funded Cheesy

Not going to say anything about the OP except that if he used to run a BBS, that was something back in the day. You essentially loaned your phone lines (several, if multiple login), so people could grab shareware and other stuff.

Nobody has 'lost' any coins yet...except me. So seems a fair game for the 'player' so far. But you're right...that was a very poor analogy to use...my bad. Maybe my posts about my loans should have been better placed in the gambling section? And then the 6 btc loan for karaoke equipment here? I'm open to suggestions... Speaking of...has anybody actually told me what I should be doing or has everybody simply pointed out what I did wrong? There have been so many posts at this point its hard to tell Wink

Anywho, this loan/investment opportunity/guaranteed lotto buy in is now 38% funded. ty all for your support Cheesy

DABS! What it do? How goes the lotto? Sorry I haven't bought tickets last couple weeks...as you can see I've been a bit busy Tongue Anywho, yup...at one point I did have a 3 line system running when I was running, WORLDGROUP! Thats what MajorBBS became! Anyway, I had a multi node system running WorldGroup with 3 dial-up lines and one direct connect so my users and I could play multiplayer Doom over the virtual private network WorldGroup made using the Novel networking software. omg...memories...haha

You want a 6btc loan?  Put up $750 of collateral.

Well, I do have a travel trailer that is worth around $1000. If you send me $750 I promise to repay you in six payments spaced 30 days apart beginning 30 days from receipt of the $750 at an interest rate of 10%. If I fail to do so I will hand over the paperwork for said travel trailer. Here is a picture of my trailer...

It is currently located in Rochester, Washington and I am NOT willing to take it more than 250 miles for delivery so if you are farther than that you will have to come pick up yourself.

So...we have a deal? Cheesy

Actually, that could probably work for collateral, but you would need to transfer the title to the lender before you received the coins.  Then you would get the trailer back after you repaid the loan.   It depends on if that trailer can be easily sold for $750 though.

I will keep that in mind when it comes time to post about the 6 btc loan. Thank you VERY much for your input. It has been rather educational! Cheesy

In parting...in the bitcoin world...would I go through an escrow like say JohnK for a transaction like that? Although I don't think he deals in 'physical' properties per say...but someone else might?

gektek, PLEASE read the stickies at the top of the forum page.

Ya mean this part? "Lenders should be wary of these, and potential lendees should stop requesting them."

I admit I AM guilty of not reading stickies BEFORE I started all this...my bad. As is stated in several places, this is my third and final one. I know I know...I should have learned my lesson after the first one...the second one...I dun did a bad thing and I am sorry. I am also one stubborn son of a bitch. My last loan is 40% funded and then no one will have to deal with any of my douchebaggery...just the 6 btc loan announcement for my karaoke equipment...which I already know I will also get crap for because of this and my other threads. I am learning a hard lesson.

Again...apologies...

But if anybody wants to make a quick 0.015 btc and get rid of me sooner go add another 0.6 btc to my loan and be done with me Tongue
