Perhaps Dogecoin is still one of the most quick and low commisionated coins for small transactions. Have a look on it.

If we're talking about small and fast transactions, in my opinion, the best are NEO, LTC, DOGE they are really good and reliable.

I love NEO! Extremely fast transactions, no fees. Only downside is you can only send whole NEOs so not 3.5 NEO which is kind of inconvenient if the price is going up and you want to send a specific amount of money.  Grin In that case I guess Litecoin (don't have experience with that myself)

Currently for me it's ETH - most ICOs work with it, not without problems, of course. But if you pay enough attention to how you make a transaction - you will nearly never have a problem. Sometimes there are too many people using it - in this times it may be difficult, but it does not happen quite often.

Give it to Litecoin. It is currently one of the if not the fastest coin in terms of transactions speed. Ethereum is also doing well in terms of speed. NEO as well.

I agree, now a large number of coins with relatively fast transactions. You can choose what you prefer. Personally, I find it convenient to use ethereum.  Wink

Aside from Litecoin which has fast transaction speed. I think doge and Nano coin to are 2 coins that can be use in micro transactions especially Nano coin with no fees and lightning fast transaction speed. For me Nano coin is currently undervalued right now but its features are too good compare to other coins.

For the best coin for small payments is dogecoin. For me its price is not so high but not so low. It's in the middle.
If we are going to purchase a small payment, we can use it. We can keep our bitcoin for another things that you will going to purchase in the future.

Try to research for the upcoming coins that will be up on exchanges and look after what their campaign earned or how did the ICo do. These coins usually start low and then the success from their campaign will make them go to the moon, if you know what I mean.

usually, i used XLM to make any transactions other exchange, did not require a long time and very cheap

Thanks for the input, have some XLM but didn't used it. I have it on exchange   Undecided Will install desktop wallet so it will be safer I hope. But on the other hand i don't want to spend it - it can potentially rise in price Wink

But it is also great to put crypto to actual use, and make transactions. This is the revolution.

Dogecoin certainly has a high transaction speed and low transfer fees, but not all payees are ready to accept this coin. There are much more common coins with similar characteristics. For example, for payments, I use ethereum and litecoin.

I think the best coins which serve as a good payment for small bills or expenses are altcoins because they have a mall value which is very compatible to used and more convenient as well.

Yes, some altcoins are very convenient for payments due to fast transactions and small commissions, but with the announcement of lightning network bitcoin also becomes a convenient means for payments.  Wink

Which altcoins are best for small payments in terms of transaction costs and speed?

In my own opinion based on my experience, I will pick and recommend Ripple and dogecoin to be the most reliable coins for small payments because they're fast, faster than just refreshing a webpage.
I really like the idea that some coffee shops in my city will soon offer and accepting crypto as mode of payment for their services and particularly they will be soon accept Ripple.

Bitcoin is not intended for products and services payments because of it's transaction speed that is very slow and the worst thing is transaction fees are too xpensive.
There are so many alternative coins that would accommodate Bitcoin's original description as being one of the mode of payment for every business services.
I would recommend Ripple and DogeCoin as they are two of the most reliable in terms of transaction speed that is would take less than a minute in every transaction.

Dogecoin scales well seems due to its numbers for things like block size and transactions. It takes an average from 30 seconds to 2 minutes and is very cheap (about 0.01 usd), but it will remain a nice crypto-joke currency.

I think no coin will compete with a good DAG coin (Byteball, IOTA, RaiBlocks, etc) which are going to be the new 3.0 blockchain in the near future.

If Iota really works out, will be the favourite, because of its multiple uses and its quantum resistance. IOTA aims to cover all use cases, including the one XRB is specialized.
