As we all know verge is doing Hardfork on 26 Jan 2018. It is to make sure that all stealth transactions will run smoothly, Verge will hard fork at block 1,824,150

It's not kind of Hardfork which most of people expect Cry Cry Cry.as it is change of protocol which make the existing invalid blocks/transactions valid. As they said it is to ensure the stealth transactions. Because some mining pools are not running on latest codebase .Thats why some transactions are not confirmed sometimes.they tried softfork earlier but due to less participation of pools it fails to validate all blocks.so they are doing so.

As long as the supply isn't increased I see this as a softer fork.
