I don't think so. Right now, bitcoin is a little below 3800$ and I think it will remain on that stage for the first month of 2019. Surely 2018 is one of the worst year for bitcoin and for crypto in general. Its one of the longest bear market I've experienced and until now, it shows no sign of uprising. I just hope and for sure everyone hopes that 2019 will be a good year for crypto.

I think with just about 2 days to the end of 2018 we can actually say that most of the predictions were just well, "Predictions" where the people were hoping that what they predicted will come true and at least it also give some insight to we don't really know where the market will end up. We heard the Btc price hitting $50k and dropping as low as $1k but none of this happened. As at when writing this Btc is at $3,842.56 Binance and I believe will hover around here come 2019. Let's just hope the coming year holds better market prices for cryptos than this one.

I don't think the price will go below $1000 because the crypto market is not went that much low and new investors and people are researching and investing money on crypto world in order to be benefited and save their money digital and able to earn decent profits from the crypto coins. Hey Bitcoins was never supposed to touch 1k last year, this was a blatant attempt of fud spread by mainstream media to discourage people from buying bitcoins. As you have seen even after all the falls we never touched that level, because bitcoins is getting good resistance at 3k levels. I believe if there're more purchases, and influx of positive news then we shall see prices rebound further upwards.
