Hi guys,

I had question regarding the 7th gpu installation. all 6 of my rigs are powered by 1300G2 running 6 sapphire nitro+ rx580 8gb, each. I have been searching for a way to insert 7th gpu in the setup for quiet some time since i am single mining and have a lot of spare capacity. From the wall, each rig is consuming 880-890W.

after reading a lot, i have ordered (StarTech.com 6in LP4 to 8 Pin PCI Express Video Card Power Cable Adapter - lp4 to PCI express - molex to 8 pin PCIe)

I also ordered (ROKOO PCI-e Express 1X to 3 Port 1X Switch Multiplier HUB Riser Card +USB Cable) as my motherboard is out of pcie slots. This switch needs to be powered by sata/molex connecton.

3 sata cables from the psu are powering 2 risers each and the 4th will be powering the 7th gpu's riser and ssd. To power the 7th gpu, I am planning to connect one end of the molex to 8pin adopter on psu-perf 1 molex cable and other end on psu-perf2 molex cable. The switch will also be powered by either perf1/perf2 molex cable.

Is my planning alright?

Thanks in advance. Smiley
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

do not use that adapter for powering your gpu
provide a dedicated 8pin pcie cable
you could have ordered m2 to pcie adapter if you have available m2 slots
and as for risers
it will be better if you can power them with molex rather than sata
