hi,
I might be able to get my hand on 50T+ of asic chips soon, but those chips consumes a lot of power from the specs I get (~400KW).  Does anyone here as suggestion or expertise on deploy such high power systems?  Is there anyway to deploy them in a place other than data center?  And if in data center, which part of the USA would be the most cost effective as far as space renting + power + cooling + security.  Any help would be greatly appreciated, opportunity available if you are an expert of those kind of stuff.  Thanks!

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Well, you need about 1200 Amps of 3 phase 120/208 power and you will use about 250,000 KWh per month.  At that level, electricity could be your largest expense, by far, depending on the location so data centers are probably going to cost way too much to make sense.  Even a data center in an area with cheap electricity will cost a lot because data centers have battery and generator backup and normally provide 24x7 cooling and security to the facility.

If I was doing it, I would lease an industrial building with enough power already installed to handle the load in an area with cheap industrial power. The pacific northwest seems to have some of the cheapest power in the country.  An area with cold outside air would be ideal to keep cooling costs to a minimum.  You would have to provide your own security.

If I were to do this:

I'd do it in Douglas County, WA or similar for the cheap power.

http://www.douglaspud.org/Service/2013RatesJanuary12013.aspx

You'll need a /lot/ of power supply and cooling capacity.  However, you could probably run ambient air exchange, if you're OK with the building being uninhabitable during the summer months.  You'll need a lot of airflow and cooling for this, and the airflow will not be trivial to work out.

Alternately, if you're going big, you could do water cooling with standard cooling towers, but that's really expensive and not at all fast to build out.

Need high quality, rack mountable GPU clusters for OpenCL work or password auditing?  http://www.stricture-group.com/
