This post is related to a project and possible ITO I am developing. The project is called "Tish" and is relative to the hospitality industry. I know this is one of the most watered down industries right now in the crypto world, but I also feel that companies are just regurgitating current web platforms and just adding the words "Blockchain" to it. On the other hand I've seen some great ICO's out there that I feel have great potential as well.
About Me:I live in New York City and have over 15 years of experience in Hotel Operations. I am also a frequent traveler on a personal note.
I have been a blogger since 2004 and have been dabbling with Bitcoin since 2015.
Over the years I have made extensive contacts within the Hospitality industry and will set up meetings once the ball gets rolling to get people on board as advisers.
I am also from the Caribbean, and have made extensive connections with developers and engineers ( This will be important as you read along).
Project:Tish Token is an ERC20 Token. Every Hospitality Token has a general use of being a utility token on a travel booking website. Obtaining a user base might not be difficult as the word "blockchain" is one of the most googled words right now, but obtaining or even stealing a customer base from a company as big as expedia while not only difficult, it can also take years.
Blockchain technology is at it's infancy, so time is not a problem. This is one of our goals with Tish but we are upfront and honest about the fact that it could take years to grow our base to the millions.
This is where we differ with Tish. We feel that the implementation of Blockchain technology in real world use will come faster than we expect and we want to be one of the first to have our boots on the ground. This is why we are taking a real world approach with Tish Token and developing or acquiring our own Hotel. This Hotel will be one of the worlds first Hotel's funded by and for Crypto Users. Tish Token owners will be able to pay for their reservation and hotel amenities using Tish Tokens. We are scouting locations for the hotel, but as stated above I have sufficient connections in the Carribean, which can be utilized to build the hotel in this region of the world. We will keep researching and choose the best location we see fit.
We will also seek to partner with other hotels / extended stay owners to encourage them to accept Tish Tokens at their establishments.
Both the Web/Mobile Platform and the Hotel (s) will operate independently of each other, giving Tish Token owners more for their investment.
The Web/Mobile Platform will begin as a Hybrid Centralized/Decentralized model with the goal of eventually settling into a fully decentralized platform.
Recruitment:We feel that we have enough experience and connections in the Hospitality industry to hit the ground running. I am in the process of recruiting developers with experience with Ethereum and smart contracts.
We are also in the market for a second Graphic Designer.
For the mean time, I will handle our social media accounts. Until our official launch our small team will wear multiple hats until the team grows.
I am funding the early process with my own money which is where the initial token offering comes in. In order to recruit the proper developer for the Web/Mobile platform and smart contracts we want to bring the right person on board and this will take more funding.
TLDR: Tish Token is an ERC30 Utility Token that will be utilized on our Web/Mobile Accommodation Booking Platform and at our yet to be acquired Hotel (s). We will also seek to make partnerships with other hotel and lodging owners.
