Today i watched some videos of the latest robots and damn, they move so fluid nowadays. Able to avoid objects, move in rough terrain, climb stairs, take out the trash, put dishes in the dish washing machine.

Too bad the AI field hasn’t made that much progress in the last 10 years. As far as i know we are very far from singularity but with such robotics, at least now we can “release” AI “babies” into the real world and let them learn from their surroundings. Too bad it is tough to code a reward system for it to know what it should do or aim to do.

What is the most advanced AI that you know?

Still waiting for my AI girlfriend/maid to be manufactured.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

As far as I know the most advanced is Sophia
Her brain operates on blockchain tecnology called Singularity network.

She is also the first robot that has a citizenship as she was granted citizenship from Saudi Arabia a few months ago.

She also promised to destroy all humans. Is it  phrase out of context, joke or serious statement?

I think that was a joke.
If I remember right, someone asked her over and over again if she was dangerous and she said no, but he keept pushing and in the end she said something like "ok if that is what you want then I destroy all humans"

I’m not impressed with Sophia. I bet there is something smarter. Although maybe not in robotic form.
Sophia seems to have too pre-programmed things to say and definitely does not pass the turing test

Well that was just another hogwash by brainless journalists.

Progress is unstoppable and this is great!

AIs and robots will become a powerful tool for humans to carry out dangerous work in the future. Try to not be too dependent and robots.

You mean such dependency like cars or smartphones? You can't be serious. Smiley

I think AI and robotics has made some amazing advances recently:

In AI we have AlphaZero & AlphaGo which can learn games and other things by analyzing the pixels and then play against themselves millions of times to reach superhuman levels.

Quote
As opposed to other AIs, such as IBM's Deep Blue or Watson, which were developed for a pre-defined purpose and only function within its scope, DeepMind claims that their system is not pre-programmed: it learns from experience, using only raw pixels as data input. Technically it uses deep learning on a convolutional neural network, with a novel form of Q-learning, a form of model-free reinforcement learning. They test the system on video games, notably early arcade games, such as Space Invaders or Breakout. Without altering the code, the AI begins to understand how to play the game, and after some time plays, for a few games (most notably Breakout), a more efficient game than any human ever could

In robots we have Atlas and Handle:

Don't need to say much about these as you can see from the videos both are doing some pretty amazing things!

Few years to go the world has a lot of AI and Robots that program to be part of the life of daily activities of the people but more people suffer to their work because many businessman will buy AI to have more money because they did not pay for the workers.

I was aware of the chess bot but not of the generic game playing bot. Ive programmed some skill gaming bots before as well. Ur links were a great add thanks!
