Which alt coin you think can reach $10k in 2020 which is below $1k now
IMO, Ethereum and Dash can.

Only those, forget about monero, litecoin, and all those little altcoins because they are not going to reach more than $1,000 at least.

Dash and eth can do it.. For me, ethereum will reach that price before Dash, this is just because of common sense of course.

wow, that was quick, i think ethereum is still the best option in altcoins if you want it to reach $10k, i don't think another token can reach that in the near future, i see a lot of people saying Dash and NEO, don't risk your time on them, just go with Ethereum.

what quick ? 2 years isnt quick but you may think it is because maybe  you were too busy on the real world and didnt notice how time flies but it is now 2021 and eth still didnt hit 10k$ but atleast eth show a nice gain  .

it was the yfi a token from eth that manage to climb up to 10k$ but no one predicted that of course because there are no defi's back on 2018 but the battle still continues for those coins that you like and think that will reach a certain price point .

everything can happen no one can and can confirm what the right thing will happen because it is only based on assumptions that have indeed happened and are analyzed.
If this year the estimation that bitcoin will go up fantastically and will be able to be 17x from ATH 2017, then it is certain that there will be altcoins that will reach $ 10K this year.
anything could happen but we are just waiting for the move from bitcoin for Q1 this year.

but if there is no movement that matches last year's halving, then it can be ascertained that the predictions of the above colleague are correct and will occur after the next halving in 2025.

The current value of ETH is a very good opportunity to grab because everyone is very bullish about the ETH price, we don't have any clue or any idea whether it will cross the value of $10k, previously I heard a news about the news very soon CME will launch ETH features listing.

Monero I think not gonna reach $10K in this year simply because its current price is too small to reach that amount and the government trying to crack their "privacy" blockchain.

 I think the only candidate that has biggest chance is Ethereum considering its current price however that still difficult because their current price is still 1/10 of 10 grand and their total supply which is too much, Polkadot is another candidate too but small chance still  .

I know that the OP was old and asking for which Alts has the potential for 2020 which is over now but even now Eth is still very impossible to hit the $10K too because of the current market performance which is the reality of Ethereum. There are lot of issues of smart contracts like the network is congested resulting to higher gas fees and this are some of the facts. Do you want me to ignore this post which is the reality of 2020 and beyond for Eth?

The present price has shown none of the altcoins could do that. Not even their all time boss after BTC which is ethereum. The ongoing bull run is more about Bitcoin more than any of the altcoins no matter its structure or development.

Out of the top 10 BCH and ETH has a chance to go to $10,000. Monero and Dash marketcap is struggling to grow. Those 2 won't go to $10,000 and other privacy coins will struggle as well. Coins over a few hundred million supply, you can forget about that going to $10,000.

If we reffer to coin in circullation and marketcap possibillities i would bet to Dash. Dash only has 9million coin in circullation and has big potential to reach 10 billion in marketcap. And it will put Dash at $10k pricing.  Another potential coin to reach $10k is Kusama.

2020 has ended with many stories that exist including several events that occurred in the world of crypto, maybe in 2020, none of the altcoins were able to reach the price of $10k except for some DeFi coins like YFI but of course the positive movements that occurred in Bitcoin also affected price hikes for eth and some other altcoins at the end of 2020 and it looks like eth has great prospects of hitting $10k or more by 2021.

Yeah, OP speculation is too high, although this thread was created in 2018, but the reality is that none of the altcoins will be able to hit the $10k a mark by 2020, except YFI which is able to reach numbers as the OP said, even YFI could pass the bitcoin price at that time.
Entering 2021, Ethereum is experiencing a tremendous growth, I am very confident, Ethereum growth will continue to increase, thus making Ethereum the second Cryptocurrency that has a bright future after Bitcoin.
