Sri Mulyani: Bitcoin sebagai Alat Investasi Keputusan pada Masyarakat

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Pemerintah melalui koordinasi antarlembaga sepakat menyikapi mata uang virtual bitcoin sebagai mata uang yang tidak punya landasan hukum dan berisiko.

Larangan penggunaan bitcoin berlaku ketat sebagai alat transaksi maupun sistem pembayaran, tetapi sebagai instrumen investasi diserahkan kepada masyarakat dengan sejumlah catatan dari pemerintah mengenai risiko-risikonya.

"Sebagai pemerintah kami akan terus menyampaikan pandangan. Kalau sebagai alat investasi, itu keputusan pada masyarakat, tapi sudah diingatkan (risikonya)," kata Menteri Keuangan Sri Mulyani Indrawati di gedung Kementerian Keuangan, Jakarta Pusat, Selasa (23/1/2018).

Ani menegaskan, untuk alat transaksi dan pembayaran, mata uang yang diakui oleh negara adalah rupiah. Ketentuan itu tertuang dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 7 Tahun 2011 tentang Mata Uang.

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Government through coordination between institutions agreed to address the virtual currency bitcoin as a currency that has no legal foundation and risky.

Ani asserted, for the tools of transactions and payments, the currency recognized by the state is rupiah. The provision is contained in Law No. 7 of 2011 on Currency.

from my personal view, as noticing use of returns with moderation of past terms of entries as being with the parts of customs with the online business with the internet merchantile.

government should not ban the use of altcoin as they might be of chance of online business/marketer to collects of payment from the selling of goods/service.

how can transaction with the investment scheme should pass the beginning mention as not to work on payment but ok for investment?
