The problem is not in the number of forks. It's in the people who actually trust these forks are believe they will somehow replace Bitcoin. If bitcoin cash which was backed by miners and big whales couldn't do that, how could expect from other forks to do so? I suggest to dump these scam forks and accumulate more bitcoin.

The only fork that has turned out to be successful from the last couple of months is Bitcoin Cash (BCH) the rest of these forked bitcoins have failed to convince users to rally behind them and I expect less support for any forked bitcoin alts to continue.

I don't think anyone needs any fork..until and unless we are in a urgent dire need of one right now the segWit addresses are working very fine they have increased the transaction speed and the cost is comparatively less too thus I do think that any other unnecessary argumentations is not needed besides... When a fork is launched officially I do think that one will need more than what you mentioned ...well you need support from authorities and. ..that's really important to understand that fork is important at it's place but unnecessary forks are not something that you should be happy about.

I don't think so. The fork constant can undermine the confidence of people to cryptocurrency and we can own hands to kill bitcoin. I was very surprised to see how people rejoice when the forks they get free coins. Are you not aware of the fact that the capitalization of bitcoin decreases. In return, you get coins that are worth nothing.

I don't care about the forks anymore because the coins from these forks are totally useless and created for the sake of quick money for the big whales.But why this much of forks is happening and it keeps decreasing the value of bitcoin by adding new coin to the crypto currency list at every forks.I am just looking for the implementation of lightning network but I think it may take few more years.

What would be our benefits from this forks anyway? I don't think creating 50+ forks can solve the problem of Bitcoin. They will end up just like any other coins being used in the market just like BCH.

Forks and its existence is a solid proof that Bitcoin is a permissionless system. You don't need to deal with anyone when creating and implementing a hard or soft fork. Be glad that the proof is out there.

This was expected as bitcoin needs to be upgraded on timely basis and also nowadays there are many numbers of ICO's that are been released every day and now you can expect this much big number of forks appearing by the year-end and also 50 is not a great big deal if there are thousands of ICO and coins which are competing with bitcoin, but I can see that this fork can help trader's too by making the bitcoin prices more volatile and tradeable, you can trade them easily and i will be the one who will surely make use of this FORKS for trading benefits.

the returns are already diminishing. with alot of the forks around now you can't find one single wallet. you have to throw together python scripts and try to find a node to move these coins.

This is true. They're the reason why some people see BTC trading as a scam. They're literally a waste of energy. They copy the same technology over and over again and they wrap it in different colors, then they market it as if they discovered a break through. They make it hard to distinguish actual scientific break through from rip-off scams designed to make as much money as possible. It's a hindrance to the economic and technological growth of BTC and some other decent crypto currencies. I just wish they make something that actually addresses the technological problems crypto currencies are facing.

These forks are happening because people like free money.

Usually what happens is that an exchange announces it is supporting the new forked coin. This prompts people to send their bitcoins to the exchange to qualify for the airdrop. The exchange then has a full bitcoin wallet (which is what they are really after).

That's too many and most would probably have no use or will end up as shitcoins clogging the market. 50 forks? That's 50 bitcoin somethings. Lol imagine how difficult it would be to name all those btc subcoins.

One of the advantage of having a fork would be an opportunity will again open up especially for developers, another coin will born and could make us rich as well,  we do have different perceptions about it as some people would prefer not to have a fork as this would kill the price of bitcoin but this is already a system and cannot stop anymore.
