Good job. Seems the right way.
So this Kumala guy was using this forum behind TOR ?

If not, we can ask the admins which IPs did he use

So far this forum/site has not responded well to private information requests, even in a criminal matter like this one.

I don't understand why you all are so lazy and afraid of beating someone in their face.

We can be many if we go there together. What do you fear?

These bastards will give us our money very quickly when there are physical consequences to them, trust me.

Just find out who they are and where is their residential address, and we get there.
What's the matter?

Rather than a class action or criminal lawsuit, we may be better served to file personal claims against the exchange.... If in 60 days I still have not made any progress then I will be hiring an attorney in Arizona to file a suit to retrieve hosting information from GoDaddy.

I'll drop you a private message since I know another victim with serious amount to be recovered.

Personally I wish you good luck on this case, it'd be great to see the responsible suffer at least.

Please remove yourself from this conversation altogether, idiotic comments like that can only hurt your chances (and possibly all our chances) of recovering funds. If we had an address for this person we'd use it to our advantage in a court of law and moving forward you will not be included in any information we recover.

what chances do you think there are of recovery? whether it was legitimately a hack or an exit scam, the money has been gone since 2014. it's openly been a fractional reserve since then, and as such, volume has been completely absent for over three years.

even if you could track down the owners, the money is long gone. the fact that you can't seem to find a legal address for service doesn't bode well either. my humble opinion: discovery and legal costs don't justify doing anything at this point.

Tshaw024: have you subpoena'd domains by proxy LLC and Cloudflare yet? They should have user IP access logs, and crucially, payment method details. Both firms on icann whois of vircurex.com. lawyers in the UK charge GBP 5000 for submitting Norwich Pharmacal orders, the UK equivalent to a subpoena. I'd be up for kicking in a few hundred bucks in support of further information disclosure from above named.

FYI:

Quote
2018-01-25: All TRC frozen funds have been returned
With the profits we made last year, we have acquired the remaining TRC needed to return all previously frozen TRC funds.

I had a small amount of TRC (1900 worth about $600) there and it was indeed unfrozen.  Now if only I could get those BTC and LTC unlocked...
