ICO ANN Thread Concerns

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

And the following is taken from mprep's thread:

Anyone posting info from their bounty application (usernames, addresses, etc.) or anything alongside the lines of "joined X", "looking forward to getting X", "thanks for the opportunity", "filled out form", "signed up for X", "applied", "following / liked / retweeted X" when such data is not required or the requirement is against the forum's rules risk having their account banned. These are extremely low quality posts generate massive amounts of spam, drowning out any legitimate discussion these threads may posses.

I have already been sent a number of PM's regarding users who post 'reports' for Twitter/Facebook bounties. Example is below:

This should be disallowed, right? If the bounty threads are requiring this kind of reporting then it's simply another form of incentivizing posts on the thread. Another way of just 'bumping'.

To be clear: A lot of the people who are applying to bounties are just dumb. This is not subjective, this is not racist or discriminatory (or whatever the "The Pharmacist vs. Filipinos" thread is about). They do not bother to read (or are unable to understand?), and they are often very self-entitled. You can see this in bounty campaigns which have moved submissions to external forms, a lot of people still keep spamming the thread (even though those submissions will be ignored) and a lot of them don't respect the time limits per round either.

Per that rule: Not really. They are similar to signature campaign applications. Should they be disallowed? Absolutely. Services, can and should move the registrations off of the forum to avoid unnecessary spam.

These are not applications. These are report updates. Meaning, they are posted every week to bump the thread and share links to their participation in the campaign.

This is not something done once by one person. This is done by every Facebook/Twitter campaign participant every week to keep the thread alive. If that's not incentivization to post in the thread then I don't know what is.

This is not something done once by one person. This is done by every Facebook/Twitter campaign participant every week to keep the thread alive. If that's not incentivization to post in the thread then I don't know what is.

You are required to create new tweets (or Facebook activity or whatever) in week X to apply for week X of the bounty though. If you don't apply by posting them, in campaigns that accept submissions via posts, then you won't get anything. I take it that some users (like in the example), tend to quote their older posts for easier tracking.

Maybe we should start with you pisshead absuing the trust system calling people scammers who have not broken any forum rules.Asking for loan without colleteral is not against any rule.Buying accounts is not against any rule and still you pisshead call everyone a scammer.The only scammer here is you with your daily interrest which should bring you to jail and nothing more

I think you confuse two sections and they are very diferent.
 Announcements (Altcoins) is where you post the Ico   ANN, and you cant report your work in this section, if you do it your post will be deleted by a mod.

In the past people used the Announcements (Altcoins) to post anything,aidrop,bounty and report their works i think thats why mprep created this new section Bounties(alcoin) for users  to report  their  works without spamming the entire altcoin section.

I do understand and agree. Under the excuse of having to get people reporting they pump the thread. It is a double edged sword as the thread becomes unreadable so no comments on bounty are made nor answered.
