Ok, I'm a junior member but been in btc for a long time (in crypto years).

I'm currently doing some business in China and HK and over the past few days there have been some very big market movers and shakers that I get to knock around with when I'm here, and they are all speculating the same outcome (which tends to be strange). These guys (whales if you like) almost always say the complete opposite to bluff each other out..

Yesterday was different as I found they all had the same positive thoughts on BTC as the US media keeps dumping all over BTC (as they're paid to do while the banks and fat cats buy up as much as possible). Now LTC (which there is some type of secret about and big joint partnership of some kind) is really what they are most impressed about.. I really wanna Know what the deal is (if anyone can spill the beans?)

Anyways, Some have diversified 10% into ETH and some into other alts such as NEO, ADA and OMG..

I was beginning to feel quite negative about the whole crypto scene and truly thinking about selling up.. Until yesterday anyway. All I can say is hold on and look ahead for the future as the Chinese aren't anywhere near out of the game.. They're just smarter (as usual)

That's my 2 Sats for the day...

Stay positive and trade on Guys and Gals..

Peace! Cool

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Need more details on this.  How are they getting money out without exchanges?  How do you know that they are whales and what's this about LTC?

Also, would like pics as proof that you are in China!  Take a picture with four fingers up in front of a landmark.  You don't have to be in the picture, just need your hand with 4 fingers.   Wink

Chinese are actually not any ways out of cryptocurrencies and if you think there are out then you are on a long thing!  Chinese government is part of the whales and the government is go to continue playing this game as far as cryptocurrencies remain. Why we should hold to our coins is at this price manipulations has happened several time and I don't no why people are most panic this time.  Op nice right up and we expect more information in days to come.

Whether or not this is legit, and whether or not chinese whales are doing whatever they are doing, one thing is for sure. Just because the Chinese government is anti-bitcoin as it has always been, doesn't mean that bitcoin players in China(whales) won't continue to operate.

If China does ban bitcoin, do you really think that they'll give up trading altogether? Oh please. They've got so much invested in crypto that they're either going to carry on privately under the radar or move to another country where bitcoin is legalized.

Therefore, the people who dumped and panicked just because the Chinese government came out with mining bans are quite irrational. Chinese whales are going to be there whether or not you like it, and they'll still be a huge part of the system.

Bitcoin is cheap right now. Like dirt cheap. It could really get up from the ground from here, and exceed many people's expectations.

1) We have no way of knowing if you're who you claim to be. Please back up your claims somehow if you want to be relevant on these forums.

2) No one said the Chinese were out of the game, it's just fact that the government pushed regulations against miners and that's what messed the market up. That has nothing to do with Chinese citizens maybe using Bitcoin to trade or even being in the crypto currency market via other means.

3) No one knows if you actually have contact with whales. Prove it or don't make false claims.

This area is up for grabs! PM me if you're interested.

I was wondering too, if they still have bitcoin or alts,or will they just hold it until they revealed that something big from them, will they just keep it long till they accept again exchanges. Or they have some connections from other country to do their trading, well we all don't know yet what's in Chinese mind.

You can't use localbitcoins for any significant amount. It is risky and 'by low' even then you need to pay taxes.

I'm on the line now for more info too Smiley

We know that bitcoin miners from China have moved to other countries to established their new headquarters such as in Hongkong, Singapore, Ireland and Canada.
They are not out of the game and more likely will never be as they have invested Millions of dollars to achieve what they have right now, it's too profitable to leave behind.
I'm not sure about how LTC become the part of the resurrection of Chinese whales, maybe because it's cheaper than bitcoin or bitcoin cash and easier to transfer the funds, invest in LTC and then pump it.

Ok, Feel like an idiot for doing this, but here are pics out of my apartment in China. I was in Beijing where I met up with people I've known in crypto since 2012 and yep indeed they're whales. There are no landmarks here in Cangzhou (hebei) and the best I'm gonna give you is pics out of the window as it's too bloody cold outside here.

The majority of Chinese BTC is done between the wealthy OTC direct and using banks in HK.. I never mentioned any Chinese exchanges as they don't trust them. Come here and see the cash economy for what it is..

There isn't a financial wall around china and moving funds for the wealthy doesn't change in any country.

Enjoy your smog filled air pics as I breathe the shit when I go outside.

I'm not really sure if I need to state who or what I am, I've been in crypto for a long time (well in crypto since mid 2011 anyway). What can I do to make it relevant.. Post pics of my fingers with the smog in the background again? I'm not posting a live wallet link here but am more than happy to show you what I've squandered and how I met with other crypto holders. Hange on, here is a link to my gaming wallet. I met quite a few of the bigger guys when gaming with btc.. https://blockchain.info/address/1GjCJBMAikKAYPjUh8QXNTj3eQkqRGLWNH

A pic I took a couple weeks ago with wasted physical btc?

https://imgur.com/a/poLaU

umm.. What else.

I think I don't really need to try and prove myself as I was simply making a statement and just telling it how it is here.. There's so much bullshit that is being put out there to turn people off and it's basically all about the silly paper funny money and what btc is worth. I like the life I live in and am content living this way.

For Chinese traders and Gamers (casino's and gambling) - HK, Macau and Russia is where it's at. I know 10 people I can transfer btc right now to and have that amount minus a few % sitting there in chips, ready in a paid room in Macau. Like I said before there isn't a financial wall around China.

heh, that's funny.  Are the whales in love of BTC because it's the easiest way to get money out of the country?  I've read that the country banned people from spending more than 50k over seas. I'm assuming that the people of China want to invest in anything but China because the government artificially inflates their money.  That true?  Keep us up to date on LTC BROTHER!

What exactly did they mention about LTC?
You mentioned LTC but they diversified into ETH, ADA, OMG, NEO?

China is almost a totally digital economy. If you see any documentary, this one about a guy that has build his own iPhone from parts that he bought on the market is great https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leFuF-zoVzA , You will realize that most of the transactions happen using their smartphone and WeCHat.

So, to me, they just need something that works and is not so expensive. Maybe because of that, they are betting on LTC. I have sold mine LTC after SatoshLite announce that he had sold everything. I just thought it was too stupid. And if LN starts to work, I do not see any reason to LTC exist.

But maybe, if LTC has worked to build a Point to Sale that could be used only with low-end smartphones, they would have a great advanced.

Monero has a great project called Kasisto https://github.com/amiuhle/kasisto
In this video you can check how fast it is https://i.imgur.com/9KRTpmD.gifv

But it is still great to know that the market in China is still alive.
