If you can't download the whole blockchain (like me), it is very convenient to use blockchain.info or inputs.io Smiley

Yes, it's working fine now. I get worried about stuff like that, but they make it easy to keep backups of your wallet. I do think it's a trustworthy web-wallet. But that's just one aspect of web wallet security.

It means that they have no connection to the blockchain, thus cannot do anything.

I've been having the same experience!

I was up all night tryna figure out what was goin on.

I had been using the blockchain app for the pass 3 months
with no problems until lastnight.

I click the app and it prompted me to enter PIN, as
I always do, but for whatever reason this one time
I decided to send a few btc using this app at that
precise moments got an " error 157 'Unknown error code'

Now my btc is tied up in the process!

I was in the mist of investing, about to spend a few btc on a new venture
I figure it be best to spread my cryptocurrencies around, you
know diversify my Crypto-Portfolio, im into this for long haul!

it's jus seen very oddly to me the moment I decided to use
my blockchain wallet to send a few btc, out of no where that error
message pops up! I've used this app for months and never
had an issue until late lastnight!

I pray my btc aren't loss and it's been asking me to pair
my device it has Never ever asked me that before..

let me see that was almost 12am eastern time now it's after 4pm
in the evening the next day and still I can't access the app!

nor can I log in to blockchain.info with the established password
I had set up when I first downloaded the blockchain app

or yeah something also about pad-*****-corrupted! what is that!

just 3 days ago I jus got my btc back from bter.com
after not being able to access the site my account for nearly 2weeks.

The interesting issue that I'm having currently with Blockchain.info, is when I'm trying to access my online wallet, it attempts to send a two-factor authentication email to my AIM mail account, but it never arrives, only very intermittently, coming into the spam folder.  But for the most part, I never get that email to authenticate my log in.  I keep wondering if the issue is with the AIM mail servers or blockchain.info  I never had any issues prior to this.    Sad

*update*

Interesting to note that I finally did receive the email and was finaly able to log in using two-factor authentication.  I then decided to change my email address for future contact, and the verification email seems like it's being delayed, so the issue may be with blockchain.info.......just speculation.

I also chose not to DL the entire blockchain and thus use an online wallet.

If you're worried about security, use dual authentication with your mobile phone instead of email. I assume it's a lot more difficult to hack a phone than an email account.

And yes, sometimes the service is temporarily unavailable. But so are 100% of your banking alternatives lol.

Thanks for the update, MrHempstock, I was considering changing the two-factor authentication method to my cell phone instead, it seems the method involving sending an email has been a bit unstable the last few days.

@bitcoininformation-I was unaware of Electrum, will check that one out as well.

I have been using it quite a while. No blockchain download, instant start up and it runs very smooth. (Armory requires a fair percentage of CPU power, Electrum almost nothing).
