Can someone please tell me why is Bitcoin "stuck" for a month+ now?

Hi Everyone,
Can someone please tell me why is Bitcoin "stuck" for a month+ now?
I saw some serious action up until mid December of last year, do you think that the futures contracts
on the CME and CBOE (and soon wall street) has anything to do with it?

It's true that Bitcoin price has rose unrealistically very high reaching ATH of 20,000 dollars mainly due to CME, CBOE. entering bitcoin market with bitcoin futures contract.Now it's time for bitcoin to reach its previous phase and hence the downfall in price.But it would once again enter bullish trend but slowly and not like the previous month.

what about some countries coming up with news on needing to regulate cryptocurrencies? wouldn't it will affect the price?

Yes.   Everything has an effect, big or small.
