Trezor, ledger or a paper wallet are probably the safer ones.
You have mew for erc20 tokens, neon wallet for nep-5 and of course there are many coins that have their own specific wallet.
But be careful with what you download as some wallets have a key logger integrated.

Better to find wallet that you can exchange your btc with fiat after you invest or you got that as a reward here in my country i use coins.ph because it's like that then save some btc and do invest too in different exchanger like binance, mercatox and cryptopia then you can use also coinpot for micro wallet because better to have knowledge in all crypto related

I further recommend using MyetherWallet because here can accommodate a lot of coins to be saved, and also to make a place to stop when we will do the exchange of coins.

MEW is an excellent wallet where you can store all your coins, it supports almost all existing tokens, especially tokens that are created based on the etherium
i agree MEW is the best wallet for eth and erc20 token and almost ICO recommend this wallet to use. but you must always be careful on phising sites and always use bookmarks.

It is good to use a wallet which is related to or meant for that coin because using just anyhow wallet might be very risky. You can store reputable coin in coinomi wallet and then erc20 related token, can be stored in myetherwallet as they are very safe and secure.

I recommend using myetherwallet in daily basis as a hot wallet for many tokens but to be 100% safe, think about moving the funds in a cold wallet like hardwallets or desktop wallets if you are willing to hold your funds for a long period.
