Some people just want to live longer, healthier lives. Others have made the switch to preserve Earth’'s natural resources or from a love of animals and an ethical opposition to eating them, and there's abundance of scientific research that demonstrates the health and environmental benefits of a plant-based diet, even the federal government recommends that we consume most of our calories from grain products, vegetables and fruits. How about your opinion ?

I think it is great idea to be vegeterian for people who live at tropical climate particulary. But what about nothern nations? How would mongolians, eskimos, yakuts live without meat while their land is frozen and does not fit for agriculture? Besides they need high-calorie food to survive.
What about me pesonally, I want to be vegeterian but I am already spoiled, I was raised as flesh eater

For me more veggies/vegans means shorter queues at the butcher. I'm OK with that Smiley.

being vegetarian now seems not unusual anymore, it is good to reduce the risk of cancer and other chronic diseases. but the vegetarian diet should create a mature pattern because if not maturely cause the perpetrator risk nutritional deficiency

It's good to become vegetarian because they are the people who don't eat poultry, meat, or seafood. They chose to become like that because they wanted to protect themselves from diseases like heart or bone problems and cancer. They even wanted to be vegans because they cannot afford to buy meat which is expensive. It's not in their budget plan so they tend to switch to it.

Well this is good, I think everybody would seem to agree I guess, take a look at the animals, rarely can we see them suffering like humans do of diseases and most of them are healthy. They eat grass, though there are carnivores but then what they ate was the other animal eating the same from nature. How about us? Mostly we eat processed foods which contain chemicals which probably contains carcinogens. So I a agree on going veggies.

For me, being vegetarian is making our lives healthy. I salute to the people doing this because its not that easy. Especially when you get used to exposed to meat. But if ever since your family and all the people around you are doing this, then it would not be hard for you.

The very fact of a person's life on this earth already provokes a wave of murders and pollution. And many opponents of vegetarianism use the same logic to show vegetarians how inconsistent they are in their desire to give up meat because their existence still turns into a death for many animals and insects.

I think the same as about everyone else.
Probably it's places useful for health. I wouldn't have connected this to only the moral aspects here, it's funny!  Undecided

Being a vigetarian makes it easier for someone to keep an eye on their weight. This is certainly very beneficial for those who are on a diet program, either for health reasons or for beauty reasons. Vegetables and fruits are low-calorie foods. In addition, these foods can also provide full effects longer so it is suitable to accompany your diet.

I was vegetarian for about a year. I would say the first couple of weeks were hard. But after that, it gets easier. I didn't crave meat or want any of it after the first month. I found a lot of vegetarian dishes everywhere I went to eat or I just asked for it without meat. I did sometimes feel more tired because I did not have enough protein. If you want to do it I suggest getting vitamins like B12 to not be deficient in it because that is what we get from meat. But I did feel healthier.

I was raised a flesh eating savage, but now I'm going vegan.

Its hard to start, I still cheat a little bit but I'm weaning myself off the bullshit.

I feel much healthier ever since I started being mindful of what I eat. I used to get sick fairly often and since I haven't been sick once  Grin

I think there's a difference between the two. That being said, all books about nutrition advice at least to reduce meat consumption.

If you take ethical veganism to its logical extreme, the only non-hypocritical solution is to kill yourself. Killing for meat is only a small part of the ubiquitous damage inflicted by humans.

I enjoyed it thoroughly when I ate vegetarian for about 4 years. I still try to focus on eating a whole food plant based diet but have relaxed the eating meat. We try to eat a lot less and eat higher quality, responsibly raised when we do. Definitely agree with the health and environmental benefits. Eating vegetarian does require a lot of prep work unless you want to be a fast food vegetarian.

Being a vegetarian costs a lot of money because vegetables are not cheap at all and since most of them are not organic and mostly filled with chemicals it is basically the same thing as eating meat. Vegetables are healthy when they are organic but even those costs a whole lot.

Being vegetarian is a good, because it keeps our body healthy. Moreover for them who live in tropical climate. And being vegetarian is not expensive, it is cheaper than other life style. For me, it should be the life style, since now days there are so many kinds of foods which is not good for our health.

I don't think that the vegetarians are more healthy when compared to the non-vegetarians. It all depends on your diet and how much exercise you do. A non-vegetarian who consume fatty food in moderation and works out daily will be in a much better shape and health when compared to a vegetarian who never does exercise and consumes a lot of fatty food.
