surely you are the main invest in bitcoin, then ethereum because both can be used long term investment whenever you will take will surely get profit, if still have desire for investment make sure you choose from 50 top coin because from there still many choice and of course also will benefit but if you sell when prices rise quite high. I suggest sticking to bitcoin and ethereum as well as other alternatives if you invest into a potentially profitable ICO because more profit will be available.

I agree, it all depends on our goal in investing because not all coins are good to have for a long time and not all coins are good for short term investments, therefore we need to determine first so we can choose which one is good for us to buy to be an investment |

You should buy ethereum then, that is the safest option for you when you wish to hold altcoins for the long term. The newer the coin that you buy the more risky it is that the coin will end up dying and you will end up losing your money so why not just invest in the best altcoin that the market has to offer. Litecoin is also a good altcoin for you to hold for the longterm

I have coins for long term ethereum and eidoo I believe on these project. Ofcourse do not rely on somoeone else suggestions so better also do some investigation on which project could meet your needs. Spread your investment into different coins not in a single altcoins for long term.

Ethereum and NEO can be great for new participants of the crypo world because those coins are relatively safe and good for long term purposes. You should also look at the bitcoin and invest some money in it if you can do that.

you just said that you are just a newbie, maybe it would be better if you do some research and study about altcoins first before buying anything. after you study about it, I am sure that you can decide what altcoin to invest and hold for long term. |

I think you should choose NEO, as we know NEO being a favorite altcoin now and I think the neo prices will continue to go up for the next few years. buy and hold till marry xD

I think you would better to look at the ICO stage where you can buy altcoins which have not been tradable yet for a very good price. Or you can make your own research and look for a coin with an active development team, active and good marketing strategy, a coin with a good potential, or a coin where you can gain a passive income instead of looking for someone's help.

I think long-term and short-term are the same because there's no Cryptocurrency that are best for any terms of time for investment. It's up to people and investors if they will make money after a month, a year or a decade. It depends.
Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, NEO, LiteCoin, Monero and other top Altcoins are all for either short term or long term.
