Hello. I live in Sweden and I,m going to start to do some mid-long time savings in bitcoins. I have done some research and I,m thinking about buying then on either Coinbase, Gemini or Blockchain.info.
What do you guys think is the best alternative? What I have seen it seems to be Gemini but people say that it takes ages to verify you account there and should I really wait that long I mean bitcoins might skyrock in price when I,m waiting. should I move the bitcoins I,m going to buy to an offline wallet? If that's the case which one? And is there a fee for sending my bitcoins between any of those places and my offline bitcoin wallet?

Thanks for helping

Send BTC need a fee, as a beginner, I think that you don't need to exchange the BTC transferred from exchange to offline wallet  even local wallet , because you just a beginner,So may be you will lost BTC by yourself.

Due to all the negative feedback I've been reading about Coinbase lately, looks like Gemini should be your best bet. If you'd like to trade with physical cash though, try out Localbitcoins. Just make sure to take extra safety precautions when transacting in person.

About wallets: If you're planning on investing a significant amount, your best bet would be to purchase a hardware wallet like the Ledger Nano S[2] and Trezor[3]. Consult youtube and decide for yourself which of the two you life better.

Thanks for replying. I have set up an Gemini account now but it will take a few weeks for them to verify my identity Sad I have also set up an blockchain.info account which started working immediately. Do you guys have any experience of blockchain.info? Is it any good? I am afraid that the bitcoin price will go back up if I wait on Gemini to verify me. Do you think I should wait for it or go for blockchain.info? Also how much is the fee on moving your coins from Gemini and blockchain to an offline wallet? I have read so many sad stories about peoples coins on exchange sites getting stolen

If you wish to earn more than with crypto, try to find out projects with great potential, Bitcoin won't bring you amazing income anymore.

This is a very good time for you to start with bitcoin because the bitcoin and altcoin market are deeply discounted. After buying a bitcoin you can completely trade with other potential altcoin and keep it within a few months, so you should not trade on the new start because it is so dangerous for your property. You have no experience in this market.

If you are going to invest money in coins without further trading, with the goal of buying now and selling after a while, it is best to store it on an offline wallet and in different currencies. Nobody knows what can happen with this or that exchange and no one will return you the lost money. In my opinion, the best way to store crypto currency is Ledger Nano S Wallet (you can learn a lot about it on the Internet, just use the search Wink).

This is my personal opinion, I hope it will help)))
P.S. And yes, its always need a fee...

This is the time to buy any of the currency as well as bitcoin because prices are now the fair value at the moment and from the moment of high bitcoin for whatever reason will be an acceleration on the purchase of currencies and then demand is increasing and the price increases again

Blockchain.info sure provides a lot of data and information to bitcoin holders and also has a wallet feature, but Blockchain.info doesn't have an exchange unfortunately.

What do you guys think is the best alternative?

Its better if you buy at Coinbase, i have been buying and using their system for 1 year now. As for Gemini and Blockchain i havent tested buying and verifying may account there.

I,m going to buy to an offline wallet?

Youll definitely need Ledger nano S. The most secured offline wallet that you will ever need to store your coins.

And is there a fee for sending my bitcoins between any of those places and my offline bitcoin wallet?

Every transaction goes though the network and you will be needing to pay fees to transfer from your web wallet to your offline wallet.

Well, why not to try other platforms than the mentioned ones? If you want fast and secure deposits then you can try services like Localbitcoins. They aren't related to Coinbase or others but I started with them and everything was smooth, and I still use them sometimes even this day. Localbitcoins doesn't sell Bitcoins itself, and that's why fees are somewhat high. It is a user-user based platform, and if a seller has good reviews, then the trade will be smooth and fast.

should I move the bitcoins I,m going to buy to an offline wallet? If that's the case which one? A
Yes, you should move your Bitcoins to hardware wallets if your investments are more than $5000 but if the investments are less than that then there is no need of hardware wallets. However, if you still want to use an offline wallet then go for either "Nano Ledger S – Hardware Wallet"  or "Trezor – Hardware Wallet."

And is there a fee for sending my bitcoins between any of those places and my offline bitcoin wallet?
Of course there are some fees for sending your Bitcoins from one wallet to other, and whether you send your Bitcoins from one online wallet to other or from online wallets to your offline wallet, you'll have to pay the transaction fees.

if I understood Gemini they take a fee of 0,25% to convert fiat money to coins and from coins to other coins. Is the fee for moving money between my offline wallet and Gemini also 0,25%? If that's the case I think that could be worth it to have safety and full control. I am only investing around 1000$ so I will only get an offline wallet if the wallet itself is free. I haven't done so much research about the offline wallets yet but I really like the idea of decentralizing money

PS trying to quote you got a bit fucked up there sorry for that xD
