I have been observing the surge in whitlisting for ICOs closing down well in advance of original schedule. That gives an indication that many are interested in being a part of good ICOs from start both as a strategic investor and a trader.


What is your view in your own experience? How do you see this trend?

This is connected with the regulators requirements for KYC. It is gonna be more and more prevalent and this is how it should be. The wild west of anonymity will be in the past soon if you want to invest in public companies, which all ICOs are.

Pre-sales offer very good discount so many are willing to buy during pre-sale so they can easily sell over the pre-ico price after listing in terms of USD. Whole crypto market is quite volatile right now so many investors are looking to hedge against such volatility and investing during ICO where token price is fixed in terms of USD.

I am also investing in pre-ICO rather than in actual ICO with almost no discount/bonus.

This would really still matter on an investors knowledge because we cant carelessly invest without any strong basis if those projects are worth or just total crap. Risk is there and if you carelessly select then expect loss rather than on gains. Pre-ICO sales is one of the best sweet spot for purchasing very cheap tokens. If you done it right then once being  listed on exchanges and rise up for percentage or even doubled or tripled then its not really bad at all.

Private sales and pre-ICO are for the whales. Their no need to rush or have a gas war, normally the min cap is usually so high. some ICO place their pre-ico min cap like 5k,10k, etc. unlike main sales that normally cap min to USD 100 or even lower
